With the talk on here the other day about the review of the Epi active Pro V, I found this listing a bit humorous. I wonder how many of these are sitting in a drawer somewhere.

Once you start drilling holes and reshaping a Gibson, it's a slippery slope to refin. Or just do the refin and skip the amateur luthery.

Seeking a little info here. Was shopping online and maybe looking at trying an epi Thunderbird. It says country of origin is China. Are all the epi's made in China? I'm not ready to drop $2300 for a made in the USA Gibson, but am not real keen on a made in China product either. Not trying to troll or start anything, just wondering if there are options.

No. Some are made in Korea, some in Indonesia. Or have been.
My Pro V was made in China. IIRC, my 2012 bolt-on IV was made in Korea and my 2019 VP was made in Indonesia. I can verify that later if you like.

I got a trade offer from a guy I dealt with before on CL.

Last trade was in my favor, this trade would be in his. So I’m happy with the munny side of the deal.

I would totally rock one of those. But that is just me; my tastes are eclectic.

I would totally rock one of those. But that is just me; my tastes are eclectic.

I have the Schecter Sixx in Pelham Blue. It is a very well made bass that plays and sounds great. It has an active EMG PX-JX vol-vol-tone-kill switch setup so you can get a pretty good range of sounds out of it. It is my heaviest bass and is more like an RD than a Thunderbird in heft and size (including the neck) but not uncomfortable. I got a good deal on mine so no complaints about the price.

Others have no doubt given this answer prior to me catching up but....Epi VP! Made in the Cort plant in Indonesia. The place where very nice offshore counterparts to US made instruments come from.

I'm very grateful to not have NR GAS. It does seem to be incurable.

I would really like a vintage NR. Any, really. But since Scott seems to be the magnet that attracts them, the rest of us just look on from the sidelines. And GonePlaid conveniently doesn't remember promising to give he his '67!

Agreed. I've never made them an offer, but I know it's been there awhile. Once taxes are settled, I might make them an offer. Or not.
I don't think the various highway patrols between here and MI would consider it a "necessary" trip.

Maybe it's just bad lighting, but that pickup doesn't look "Mint".
