I'm all for "revealing" the first cause reason behind stupid. Helps you know if you had stupid neighbor and his wife is showing you might keep a hose handy.....Completely agree. Coming out, Baby Shower, or whatever wasn't the cause of the fire and does nothing to aid the reader in what caused the fire. Plain and simple, illegal fireworks shot off by an idiot in a fire zone at peak fire season on one of the hottest driest days of the year caused the fire. Media should be focusing on that.
In reality, it's clearly no laughing matter. Apparently thinking is a little to tough for a good many people.Just another manifestation of the "me first" mentality pervading society. Like all the people who post[in whatever format]their daily activities: "I'm going to _____ to buy _______". Who really GaS? We're not making that some kind of ritual in the Princess Fingers Club. But I can see if we have stray member and the punishment is to play Colbalts for hours there might be a blood letting similar to that of the pic.

BTW, I'm going to the smallest room in the house to 'do some reading'.
I watched a short video about the SansAmp YYZ rack pre that was filmed in Geddy's home studio and there were 7 (!) NR Thunderbirds hanging prominently in frame for the whole thing.

The RFS have started hazard reduction burns around here. The theory is to burn safely now and reduce the fuel in bush fire season.

Apparently it was videotaped and anyone can watch criminal stupidity in action on line.
Hopefully that will come in handy in the criminal trial and subsequent lawsuits.
There just is not enough popcorn in the world to contemplate that one. Unless the tanker was full of milk.speaking of dumba.....people not too bright playing with fire...
On the way back from Merced this morning, the cops blocked off one lane of the freeway, in a construction zone, due to debris in the lane. To do this, they used flares! Dozens of them, as if half the state on fire wasn't enough
Didn't improve my opinion on their choice when I had to drive by in a gas truck, wedged between their flares and a jersey wall...![]()
WHY ARE YOU DOWN THERE FOR SO LONG?! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!I'm going to the basement music room to "play with my Thunderbird"
It is the mistaken idea that anybody cares about your personal details except you. I do not care what you had for lunch, what your vacation looked like or whether you did an extended exercise routine yesterday. Your dog is not important. And fer chrissakes, I have never participated in a selfie and neither should anyone else. Nope, I am not a crank or opinionated. This is all just factual reporting. And nobody wants to look at your fetus' junk, either.Just another manifestation of the "me first" mentality pervading society. I recalled someone doing that; was it really three years ago already?although there have probably been others.FWIW, I cut the heads off the pickup ring mounting screws, glued them to the ring and then attached the ring using Shoe Goo silicone adhesive. Has held up for 3 years now and can be returned to "normal" if need be.

Good call.Yes - since the inserts I bought ended up being the flush Gibson ones, I'm going to go with the Babicz.
As soon as a bit of cash frees up..![]()
Windmills? Like Pete Townsend? Or something else...![]()
Yep, removed my spacer. No problem with saddle screws, but I don't windmill. IIRC the injury was from hard contact at the corner of the claw, which is fairly sharp.I’m assuming the blood and gore comes from hitting the saddle adjusting screws.
The Babicz comes with a spacer plate that fits under the bridge. It probably isn’t necessary on most Tbirds. Pretty sure @GBassNorth removed his on his ‘15 to get more break ankle at the saddles. Anyway, without the plate, the bridge sits lower and the saddles are adjusted higher. The saddle height screws, the ones on the right, are concealed in the channel minimizing the risk of hitting the end of the screw when windmilling.
I still have the spacer on my ‘15. I have the action set pretty low at about 3.5/64ths to 4/64ths. G to E. The screws protrude a bit. But I haven’t cut myself because I don’t windmill. That bird is so perfect I haven’t felt the need to remove the spacer; the bridge is as it was when Gibson installed it.
The spacer helps accommodate for different neck angles on basses that use the three-point.
He’ll file BK and everyone else, insurers, premium payers, taxpayers will be left holding the bag. He may see some jail time, but it won’t be much.LOL - when I first read the news article I assumed a gender reveal party was some kind of celebration for what we used to call a Coming out Party. Turns out a gender reveal party is a fairly common celebration, like a baby shower, to let everyone know what sex the baby will be when it's born.
Unfortunately, the entire fricken state of California now knows she's having a baby boy, because some moron fired off blue fireworks in a fire hazard zone, during peak fire season, while its 100+ degrees outside. At least, from what I've heard, the authorities will be holding the responsible (or irresponsible as the case may be) individuals on the hook for all damages. I suspect their umbrella policy isn't going to cover this one.
Not sure if any lives have been lost yet, but I'd imagine plenty of wildlife and pets have been put in harms way, there might even be Thunderbirds caught up in this mess. Maybe they'll name the kid Damien.
Didn’t take long for you to post that. I love your version of it.
