That first pic is high quality. I’d bet that is representative of how it looks.I'd be surprised if it was anything but gloss.

Either Nikki has a strange hand deformity, or he stuck his pinky in it (ahem). It used to have a Nikki Six style thumb rest
You can still enable. Drive to Cleveland pick it up, drop it off in Florida, go home. Can't be more than a few thousand miles round trip.Oh, well. I was trying to enable.
I hope so. Unfortunately, the second photo was also high quality and looks nothing like gloss. My 2014 Gibby EB5 is a Burst finish with a satin coat, my Eppi Goth is black satin as well. It's not at all unheard of for Gibby and Eppi to use satin finishes. I hope it's gloss. Will wait to see it first hand or at least a confirmation on the finish before I pull the trigger. That first pic is high quality. I’d bet that is representative of how it looks.
Thank you, sir!
Silly boy. Because they can.I just checked on eBay and unfortunately the black version is more $. I hate when they do that. I can buy a Hipshot KA bridge in black or chrome for the same price. If they can do it - why not Gotoh?

depends what the customer wants.....some want NOS GE or Tung-Sols where matched quartets go for about 600 or you can opt for a matched octet. Ruby and JJ make suitable (not as rugged, wouldn’t use them in an SVT) modern replacements that they will match for you for a fee.....having one of these (I do) helps too....Oh, man, yeah. Waaaay more than the equivalent number of tubes in a pair of 100W guitar or bass amps. Where do you buy those? From the mfr? or someone else who tests and matches the heck out of things? I'd love to have one of those. But that's a good start on the price of a 63-65v THUNDERBIRD. Or the price of a well worn instance.
You ask for rational behavior from EBAY???I just checked on eBay and unfortunately the black version is more $. I hate when they do that. I can buy a Hipshot KA bridge in black or chrome for the same price. If they can do it - why not Gotoh?

Side by side, to me JJ 6550s *look* just as physically rugged as GE 6550A (not stingy with the mica spacers), and better than the Sovtek 6550WE that came in my SVT-CL (and are still in there).Ruby and JJ make suitable (not as rugged, wouldn’t use them in an SVT) modern replacements
You are closer to Cleveland than I am. Just a fact. Plus there's the enticement of watermelon in Florida. You can still enable. Drive to Cleveland pick it up, drop it off in Florida, go home. Can't be more than a few thousand miles round trip.
What I found with the finish on my 2013 EB is that it polishes over time. It was satin, but now it's shinier than that, with an amazing burnished quality. That works well with a burst finish, but maybe not so well with PB.I hope so. Unfortunately, the second photo was also high quality and looks nothing like gloss. I know that stage up in Everett!
In Apple circles it's called the "black tax."I just checked on eBay and unfortunately the black version is more $. I hate when they do that. I can buy a Hipshot KA bridge in black or chrome for the same price. If they can do it - why not Gotoh?
