I am seeing lots of exposed velcro. Clearly you need a couple more pedals to fill in...

Maybe you need one of these

Confirms my assessment - 1st view is one being played seated and because of the design it rests pretty effectively on one's leg. Next appearance shows how the upper 'horn' is where it needs to be for good balance. (close to the 12th fret) Only "drawback" is leaning it against an amp... needs a hanging stand like a Hamilton.., like a T-bird...

Like the way it looks. Has space.

Thanks :)
I didn't want to just jam everything up close to each other, and have one huge empty space.

If you decide it's not for you, can I have it? What a great board!

Thanks! It's pretty simple, the only real "effect" is the distortion, the rest are just convenience items.

But I'll put you at the top of the list, in case I just can’t stand to look at it any more ;)

...I may, in fact, have a previously unknown need for one of those....

There have been versions of that over the years, but not from Gibson. (or Epi) I think they would have canceled themselves by making a reversed-reversed (non-non-reversed?) Just too confusing semantically. But what is funny/baffling/confusing is that by reversing the so-called "reverse" T-bird (which was the first iteration - so that's already a dichotomy) Gibson made it look more like a Fender than it did in its first version. But from what I've recently read, they didn't reverse it because of Fender (as was commonly thought - but is incorrect), but instead because it wasn't selling, so by reversing it (their logic) it would look more 'conventional' (more like a Fender) and sell better. One could consider its design "ahead of its time"... but instead I feel it just wasn't overwhelmingly popular with players that were earning a living as a bass-player with neck snapping issues, lack of ergonomics and being less repairable (neck-thru and then set-neck) than an indestructible Fender bass.
I have doubted the idea the old reverse/non-reverse story for a long time. Making the NR to look more like a Fender makes far more sense.

Gibson bass fun with The Raspberries

I'm late to the party as usual... I was like 12 when this was getting regular radio play. Yep, great tune, pretty epic! That was a really, really good time for music. Thin Lizzy was hitting it, Queen, The Sweet, Bowie,... Lol... Terry Jacks... Ok sorry... :(...

I've yet to find a distortion for my uses, but it is an Ashdown, so maybe! I like to push my Ampeg B-4B AV, but never get to. At 100 watts, the sucker it still really, really loud. But sounds fantastic. I'm not a big "effects" person (I use two), so what you have is all right up my pedal board.

This is the thing - pre internet we "heard" explanations for things but usually had no way of confirming it. So these 'things' kept being passed on word of mouth and we accepted it. I never understood how Fender could successfully send a "cease and desist" order concerning the shape/look of a gen1 T-bird because it "looked too much like" a Fender bass (???) Seems silly in retrospect.

I don't really get to push my amp either (apartment :( ), and to get the built-in o/d to where I like it makes the amp a bit too loud.
The volume pedal helps with that, though, since I've got it connected through the effects loop. It lets me adjust output volume without affecting the preamp settings.

Now that I've got the Peavey footswitch, I can more easily switch the amp o/d on & off - which lets me set up two different sounding distortion effects :smug:

I have and used to use a volume pedal... but it doesn't fit in my enclosed (transport) effect pedal train box (yah, I know - they make mini version now...)... when gigging, it's all about quick set-up and break-down. No room for an outboard pedal... other than my Sonic Stomp. (but that is a necessity)

Thanks :)

My brother had one. It was the most amazingly amusing useless tool ever made. And yes, you probably do need one. Anybody who hangs out here long enough develops the weird sense of humor necessary to even think about one of those.

Terry Jacks? Don’t forget The Buoys!
