For that $ I can buy 10 Rumbles and the crowd won't know the difference.I was in Phoenix years ago, St Patricks festivities going on. I was down town in a tent with a piper on stage, he sugested he could play anything, so the obligatory shout out for Free Bird did happen by several people including yours truly. He effing played it! Any got a bird tuned to BEAD? Thinking of trying it, will it work with a normal set of strings or do I need to get a 5 set? Would like to avoid recutting the nut if possible.
I completely agree.
Until just very recently, if you were looking for a used TBird here in the states you'd have no problems finding a plain Eppi or Goth for $300 or under, a VP for about $600, a Greco/Orville/Burny for under $800 and a modern Gibby for under $1200. That was maybe a year ago.
The Goths are now frequently running between $400 and $600 and the Greco variants are almost always well over a $1000 asking price. As a norm, certainly not the bargains they once were. You have to look pretty hard for the good deals these days.
BTW - are you located in Venezuela? I spent some time there (Caracas) on business in the early 1990's. Beautiful countryside, friendly people.
Yes, I think that they were reasonable prices instead of bargains, but, of course, there were some great deals on those not too long ago indeed.
It is relative to the buyer's pocket at the end of the day, but I would dare to say that they are, indeed, expensive at the point where they are now IMO.
Caracas is a concrete jungle haha, glad you enjoy your time in HELLnezuella btw.![]()

Songs have words? Who knew!I'm guilty of liking a song for its overall sound, then later having the lyrics pointed out to me and being. This was one of those. Sounded kinda cute and folk-y. Nope.
