Thunderbird Club

Question for the group,

On the FB Thunderbird group page there's a thread regarding White 76-79 Birds and S/Ns, it's been noted that there are at least two variations, 5 digit and 8 digit, also perhaps the outside chance of a decal as well. I seem to recall that there may be one or owners of white 76-79 Birds here, so chime in with some info!

Thunderbird on!

My first Bird was an ebony 76 and it had the decal SN. My 77 has the SN stamped in the top of the headstock. Weird that the white version would have variations on the numbering for the SN.

I remember this song!!!! Didn't really care for it then but I was also lacking any serious relationship also. I get it now...

That's exactly it - certain material needs a life lived in order to 'get it'.

As promised: Vintage Pro with silver knobs. I found some with labels to keep with the original style. I like how it simplified things.

At that time, as said, we were playing in a semi classy restaurant/lounge, 6 nights a week, for 5 1/2 years. If the crowd wanted Raindrops, they got Raindrops. Or Tie a Yellow Ribbon. Or We've Only Just Begun-a biggie at the wedding gigs we did. And we stayed employed! Not that easy to do in Miami at that time. After that run, we did 2+ 1/2 years in a hotel lobby lounge on Miami Beach. We did do a few numbers for ourselves, but they too were commercially viable. Might not have been the most artistic endeavour ever, but it paid all the bills.
Do what the audience wants. That’s a concept.

my little group have also done Raindrops (just singing for me). Not sure I could do Tie a Yellow Ribbon though. Although we have also been known to do “green green grass” so maybe I could be convinced.

I give everyone 1 veto, I haven’t used mine yet.

The Red VP killed it at rehearsal last night. The band was extremely tight after over a year off. We went through all three set lists and threw in four new tunes..everything seemed fresh again. I think this Covid break was good for us mentally and made everyone
appreciate what we have as a group. Glad to be back in the game..
Unanimous vote on the Cat in the hat truss rod cover.
Fishing season on the Chesapeake Bay opens up on Saturday..Things are looking up.
Cheers.
