Voice of God?Yes, but that it was such a horrid distortion. Not sure what that might be, but worth checking into.
I don't know why those Hartke cab grills always look gross like that. GK heads sound great through them, though.started the Cray tribute rehearsals today...

BREAKING NEWS: KARA LIKES RED BASSES(film at 11).Red & Chrome is my favorite Thunderbird color!![]()
![]()
Wow. That’s a nice price. I think you should make the drive over and get it.Hey guys, found a Gibson Thunderbird for sale (obviously, not mine) on CL in the Bay Area (Fremont) - a red one!
- for what seems a not bad price.
Figured I'd share here in case one of you might be interested & hadn't seen it

Le carte plastique?I'd grab it (assuming, of course, it's as claimed) if I could squeeze my budget enough, but not possible atm
But hopefully someone here can![]()
Tempting, but I still am fighting a chronic case of Italian disease: Mufunzalo.Le carte plastique?
Who knew?Red & Chrome is my favorite Thunderbird color!![]()

Had not thought of that. Maybe you're onto something there.Voice of God?
That's a heck of a deal on a 2012 Gibby and a relatively rare finish to boot. You need to jump on this Kara, even if it requires selling a bass or two after the fact to reimburse the budget. I haven't seen one of these go for less than $1500 in years.Hey guys, found a Gibson Thunderbird for sale (obviously, not mine) on CL in the Bay Area (Fremont) - a red one!

yeah although possible for something like that to happen, a preamp would have to heat to a level that batteries could not sustain especially if it ran fine for a good amount of time....it would also be all over the internet as the manufacturer is liable for hazardous product......batteries, cabling or grid would be my guess...could also be RF interference if he's going wireless...Preamp overheating. Never heard of it but that makes sense. The last two Sundays rehearsal was fine and the distortion only showed up halfway through the set and the last song this week. I assume there's not an easy way to figure that out for electronics challenged people. I don't know how easy it is to get to but maybe feeling where the battery is might indicate some heat.
nice! do you know the year? Two things to report. On my ‘02 Gibson ‘Bird w/ Lollars and through my rig, I do not like D’Addario Chromes one bit. Did two gigs and it’s not like they suck, but it ain’t right. I have a buddy who runs Chromes on a P bass and through his rig they sound awesome. Oh well!
The other thing is I grabbed that Greco today. It’s the one in the middle

Nice bass, I think. Neck is a bit chunkier than the Gibson, but not as chunky the Cataldo. Oddly, the thing I like least about it is someone put a Gibson truss rod cover on it. I’m fine with it not being a Gibson!

Thanks Chuck. He's not going wireless and nothing has changed is what he's using all the way through to the PA speakers, or anything in the building for that matter. Not that something can't develop. That is only does it after everything has been on a while adds to the confusion.yeah although possible for something like that to happen, a preamp would have to heat to a level that batteries could not sustain especially if it ran fine for a good amount of time....it would also be all over the internet as the manufacturer is liable for hazardous product......batteries, cabling or grid would be my guess...could also be RF interference if he's going wireless...
