Or maybe even say "I was looking at the EQ and it looked really interesting. How did you arrive at this being ideal? On the screen is looks kind of unusual."

A little commentary...

I'd recommend telling your soundman that folks in the congregation are asking you if you're even plugged in because they can't hardly hear you. Then tell him you don't understand what the problem might be, let's go take a listen from mid room. Have your guitarist play for a few minutes on your bass and

see if the soundman and you agree on what you're hearing mid room. If it sounds thin to you but he thinks it sounds great just ask him if he has any issues with bringing you a bit more forward in the mix

If he has seen an audiologist and when will he be fitted for hearing aids...

His response to that question will tell you everything you need to know.

LOL - I wasn't born yesterday, I'm not stupid enough to eat a Tide POD.

That said, just the other day I was washing some dishes by hand and loading other dishes into the dishwasher. I grabbed a Cascade POD from the container (while my hands were still wet) and put it in the dishwasher. My eye itched, so I rubbed it and quickly found out that Cascade PODs apparently don't Need to be exposed to water for more than a second or two before enough of the liquid seeps through the membrane to cause great discomfort - yes, it burned like a son of a gun.

I know all about Gain Structure.
It's mostly a small white granule of surfactant mixed with a smaller number of blue or green granules of enzymes and is pretty effective at removing stains in the wash. Of course there's the more contemporary POD version which is two dissimilar liquids separated from a powder by a water soluble membrane. Either one is similar to Tide or Cheer and all three are made by the same company.

OK Here it goes. Strap Button placement. I'm considering relocating the Strap button on the bottom of the bass to the back side. I had seen a Photo of the Placement here not long ago to the upper back a few inches in and down from the top. I can't get away from the Dreaded Dive and am hoping someone has a good idea. My Strap is 4" wide and Suede backing.

Dingwall has also done some bottom button relocating. When I was going to use my Lull T5 for my Hard Rock Band, I was going to try it. I ended up going with 7ender bodies, Tbird electronics, and a drop D tuner instead. If you are interested in the Dingwall solution, I can get you a couple of Dingwall post numbers.

Just don't go too big with the hole, the wood is soft-ish, and would be easy to strip out if not sized right.

I do mine in two (three?) stages: pointy metal awl to start, so the bit won't slip, a 1/16" bit for a pilot, about 3/4" deep, then a 3/32" bit to the same depth.

But, that's for Schaller S-locks, so if you're using something different (like the stock button/screw), you may need to adjust sizes & depth

A much better option, if you are running lo-Z from your pedalboard to the DI, is to get an extension cord and move the board out into the congregation area with a longer microphone cable, and keep your standard bass to board instrument cable.

Thanks! I will be using a Schaller Lock button.

Just don't go too big with the hole, the wood is soft-ish, and would be easy to strip out if not sized right.
