I’m enjoying all the classic pics Chuck!

We normally go up to Carmel/Monterey for car week every other year and stay at the Mission Ranch Hotel, box seats at Laguna for the races on Saturday and VIP for the Concours and Gooding auction. Decided not to go this year because of all the COVID uncertainties. Wish we had gone, it’s always a great time.

Had my eye on a 1966 Sunbeam Tiger at the Gooding auction and would have matched or slightly out bid the successful buyer. Oh well there’s always next year. Do love those Tigers though.

As a Porsche Cayenne owner, I gotta admit - that tent looks silly. Get a hotel!
As a previous Jeep owner I will admit I had one of these, and it was great for camping up off of wet ground, away from ant hill’s and tarantula nests…

Saw this on the FB Thunderbird page. I toyed with the idea for the Explorer I had, but sold the bass before doing it.
I like it for a solid-colored Bird and I'm thinking at least one other member *coughcough* @KaraQ *coughcough* might be intriged by this look. I did mention our club to the owner, but he might not have seen my post yet.

That is cool. I also like the “all one side” pickguard that one of our club members has.

I drew up an idea and showed my graphic designer daughter and she approved- just haven’t done anything with it. I’ll tell you lot though.

For the Goth I was thinking of a second pick guard but on the bass side of the raised piece, and ending at the lower edge of the neck pup. It would give a ‘not quite NR’ look. Red maybe good for both pickguards. Haven’t chosen a colour though.

I have no problem with a jeep looking like that. But a Cayenne looks out of place camping. For roughing it, it belongs in front of a 4* hotel.

There’s a very real possibility that one of the tenters worked in a hotel as a teen and, with the knowledge that comes from that, refuses to even bring cheap Target sheets to put on the hotel mattress.

It does look weird though.

We found out the hard way that raccoons don’t have any issues climbing ladders either. After that, it was retract the ladder at night and don’t forget it’s not there when you get up in the morning.

The Phase 95 would give you both the Phase 45 and 90, and both script and block versions of each, in a tiny pedal format. What annoyed me about it is that its lights never turn off if it's plugged in. For a gigging board, who cares. But for also using at home, it was too annoying.

i put up with that eye-attacking laser because the pedal otherwise has so much bang for the buck.

Good evening Thunderbird loving sisters and brothers, I hope all have had a relaxing weekend. I was beyond grateful for the weekend to arrive. I had a long week that peaked with a speaking engagement on Thursday. Every time I have one, I say never again. This time is no different. Glad to say it went well and the audience seemed engaged. Never again, until this one fades and I am asked again.
The latest Dave's pick is excellent. A show from Philadelphia and Jerry and the boys sound great.
The question is for those lucky folks with a new NR Bird. I am still strongly considering just pulling the trigger and ordering one in Pelham blue. How are the necks? Any idea how it would compare to the neck on my 2014 Gibson? Fatter? Thicker? Thinner? Any observations would be most appreciated.

Love the look of the 1970 - 1975 Firebird/Camero. My personal favorite is the 1970 Formula 400 with the twin snorkel hood over the rubber nose….

Those are my favorite years for the Firebird (though I will give a shout out to the Smokey & The Bandit Trans Am), and love the snorkel hoods.
