these guys….Copeland grew upI love Triumph. Got to see them early in their career. We used to do a song or two of theirs. Love the tone of Mike's Jazz. THICK.
Fully agree with you. They were a straight up classic RnR band. IMO one of the last real classic RnR bands which seemed to have largely died out in the 80s. Show up and play and let the music impress.
Saw them 3 years ago. Loooooong bass solo. I think it was to allow the other members to get off stage for a few hits of oxygen...two words: April Wine

ÿep, feel the same about this one but to this day, i can count drummers that can pull it off (way he comes in) with one hand…..the zen of simplicity….badazz…That's one of those songs that I never cared for as a whole, but loved the playing by all three. What they did was really unique. Weird I know, but I make no claims to being normal!
BTO!

Thanks! I’m confident my shop can get it squared away, assuming there isn’t anything catastrophically wrong with it. I dropped it off about 1/2 an hour ago, and they said it’ll be about 1-2 weeks due to backlogged work. Normally I’d just return it and be done with it, but like I said, everything else seems to be top notch so I’m willing to spend a little bit before just writing it off. I’ve played Fender-style instruments my the most, but I have a definite love and appreciation for Gibson/Epiphone basses too. They’re unique tonally, built differently, quirky, and are as much a part of bass history as Fender. And I still say, to my ear, no basses sound better when played with a pick than Gibson.Congrats! A competent tech should be able to replace the nut. So long as the truss rod works, you stole that Tbird. Hard to believe someone messed up an essentially brand new bass. Maybe @godofthunder59 knows of someone in your area you can take it to.

Not new news, but I just saw yesterday that Sweetwater has been sold to Providence Equity Partners.

Could be good for an influx of cash to expand or improve, or.....accountants ruin a good thing.
