I kept thinking something was missing. You need a matching car. This should do.

There are some songs his voice works really well on, IMO. But I absolutely love his work with Malford Milligan.Another amazing player from TX. But don't care for his singing..... But he would hate mine.
Well, yeah. Too many reviews period are that way. I'd still like a good bass review with the pedals (and lots of others). Those are few, often with the person doing a lot of things most people never do in a real setting. Guitars have more going on to hear phaser sounds going on, so it is a little different with a bass.
Just wondering if tube amp warmup was part of the issue. My Mesa. I've got both channels pretty well dialed in for the tone I want and love it. My point was my hearing is awful. And by tinnitus has been really bad lately. It certainly isn't the amp or the Thunderbird.
Both great ideas! But even tho we are footing the bill for most of it, I have no real say in any of it. My daughter is not traditional in most ways but even she would draw the line at a Thunderbird themed wedding. But she might be willing to get behind the idea of his family buying me a bass
By the way, it looks like the wedding may be happening in Carlsbad CA. Anyone in the club around that area?
A little selfless self promotion. Our band was lucky enough to get a video done for free! My only regret is my colour choice of Bird. I think I should have gone with my white one, but I did as I was told by the man putting it all together. I hope my Bird family likes it!

Sure, selling that would be a big mistake!Probably good advice I should follow, but I find it so hard to let go of basses that I’ve bonded with. The very few basses I’ve sold in the last 20 years have almost all been no regret losses because I never really bonded with them. This one is a different story…

…IIRC one of only 4 made in this color and the only one of the 4 with the Blackwood finish on both the front and back.
I think you need to start a new family tradition, the Grooms parents buy a thank you gift for the brides parents for covering the cost of the wedding.![]()
That would be a cool thread/area for TB members to do them the way bass players want to see them. There are some songs his voice works really well on, IMO. But I absolutely love his work with Malford Milligan.

Congratulations! A daughter's wedding is a great reason to shut off the GAS.A reverend Thundergun in gun metal grey is on my shortlist to purchase. Unfortunately we have a wedding to cover soon so no upcoming bass purchases expected.

You just need to remind your son in law that you get the first dance with your daughter at the reception but after that you’ll take the stage for one song as they do their first dance. And because it’s not a shotgun wedding you won’t need any firearms but you will need a Thundergun for the stage. It’s something they’ll all remember and laugh about as they look back at their wedding.
of course this is the song you should play…
Congrats Dude!
not from Carlsbad but go there often, cool beachside community. Big desalination plant and of course home to Legoland. why do you ask?
Why? You gonna give the security guys photos of who to tranquilize on sight?

It happens like that.Sometimes I swear my hearing changes. When I went through some songs last night with the '21, I thought the tone sucked. I didn't touch a thing on the amp or the bass. Then after about 45 minutes it sounded great.
