I kept thinking something was missing. You need a matching car. This should do.

Another amazing player from TX. But don't care for his singing..... But he would hate mine.
There are some songs his voice works really well on, IMO. But I absolutely love his work with Malford Milligan.
Those are few, often with the person doing a lot of things most people never do in a real setting. Guitars have more going on to hear phaser sounds going on, so it is a little different with a bass.
Well, yeah. Too many reviews period are that way. I'd still like a good bass review with the pedals (and lots of others).

Both great ideas! But even tho we are footing the bill for most of it, I have no real say in any of it. My daughter is not traditional in most ways but even she would draw the line at a Thunderbird themed wedding. But she might be willing to get behind the idea of his family buying me a bass

By the way, it looks like the wedding may be happening in Carlsbad CA. Anyone in the club around that area?

Why? You gonna give the security guys photos of who to tranquilize on sight?

A little selfless self promotion. Our band was lucky enough to get a video done for free! My only regret is my colour choice of Bird. I think I should have gone with my white one, but I did as I was told by the man putting it all together. I hope my Bird family likes it!

Love it! Some righteous rock and roll. And as much as I love white birds, I think that one worked great in that vid. Love that Firebird, too!

Probably good advice I should follow, but I find it so hard to let go of basses that I’ve bonded with. The very few basses I’ve sold in the last 20 years have almost all been no regret losses because I never really bonded with them. This one is a different story…

…IIRC one of only 4 made in this color and the only one of the 4 with the Blackwood finish on both the front and back.

I think you need to start a new family tradition, the Grooms parents buy a thank you gift for the brides parents for covering the cost of the wedding.
Sure, selling that would be a big mistake!

That would be a cool thread/area for TB members to do them the way bass players want to see them.

Excellent! Your Thunderbird sounds great, as well as the other guitars. Fantastic all around.

Rock on! Cowboy hats, a Thunderbird and a Firebird. What else is needed? Loved everyone's tone and the mix.

Agreed, but as far as new goes, that's not bad.

I was telling Sharon this afternoon as we got passed by a brand new Mustang making a rather high-pitched roar, "I completely understand why they're gone, but I really miss the sound of big V8s."

Nicely done!!! I like the song and the Bird!

You just need to remind your son in law that you get the first dance with your daughter at the reception but after that you’ll take the stage for one song as they do their first dance. And because it’s not a shotgun wedding you won’t need any firearms but you will need a Thundergun for the stage. It’s something they’ll all remember and laugh about as they look back at their wedding.

of course this is the song you should play…

The Thundergun would be the perfect bass to play that song at a shotgun wedding, which thankfully this isn't. But it could still be a good angle to justify the bass.

Congrats Dude!
not from Carlsbad but go there often, cool beachside community. Big desalination plant and of course home to Legoland. why do you ask?

It looks like they are getting married in Carlsbad on the beach. We will be over there for several days so was hoping someone might be close by to grab a beer with, or if someone was playing, even better.

Why? You gonna give the security guys photos of who to tranquilize on sight?

I like the way you think!!
