Yikes! That’s warped big time.

Much better!

I'm not sure it was an issue of being warped, seemed more like bad casting?
The top has always been pretty flat, none of the screws were pulled or under excessive tension - makes me think it's been like that since install....

That B string tension on the bass side of the bridge with no screw to hold it down looks like a pretty big design flaw. Hopefully it won’t torque your newly flattened bridge out of shape again. Solorails would look great on that bass with all the exposed center block laminations.

That pic is actually with no strings installed ;)

times sure change….these each weigh about 5 lbs but are good for over 200 WRMS..

Happy. I had thought I’d have to swap the pups to Lollars, and the bridge to Babicz, but didn’t need to. I did add a front strap button at the heel of the neck to get it to hang in my preferred position, which is about 2 O’clock. Before and after below…

Perfect! Thanks so much!

Mark,

I changed the position of the tone knob and the jack, otherwise it's stock, even still has the Gibson strings on it. Through my rig the stock pickups sound great, very full and balanced, plenty of bass, lo mids and mids and I can get a nice clank with a pick. No trouble with the bridge either, I think what you'll find to be different will be the neck as it's bigger than a Reverse - but not uncomfortable.

Shameless hussy that I am............

If go in about 3:25 or so you won't have to listen to much of my pedestrian playing.

I love your playing! I now remember that review, but it was nice to go over it again. Thank you so much!

Question for those who have the 2021 NR ‘Birds. You happy with em?
Pickups?
Bridge?
Did you change the front strap location to the neck heel, or does it balance fine as-is?
I have an extra Lollar neck pickup and Hipshot replacement bridge if need be, but I like the look of the standard 3 point and am hoping I’ll love the pickups stock
I ditched the stock strings pretty quick and installed the Dunlop Marcus Miller stainless Superbrights. The only thing I’ll likely do to mine is swap in a chrome Babicz bridge.

I already have a brand new Hipshot I never got around to using, but I really like the look of the stock 3 point on these new NR’s, so hoping for the best :)

Ever had a Sr Moment while playing, Sr or not? I was to start a song along with the drummer. He started playing. I was a little unsure of the beat or time for a second. Completely lost what I was to do. My mind went blank. Nothing. Couldn't recall the the flow of the song. Knew the chords and thought I'll start playing and it'll come to me. Nope. :rollno:The longer is noodled the more I panicked. What I was playing was the wrong feel/groove. I should have just stopped but the guitar player started playing something. We eventually got there. I told them afterwards what happened and everyone was very kind. I told them that was my black hole into. I start and suck everyone around me into it. And it was so simple.

I have several favourites - Talisker and Glen Morangie often occupy my shelf.

Both good, they are often here too, might I suggest Bowmore 12 year? Very Peaty.

Nice review and that thing sounds great, can't wait to get mine. I missed the pick section.
