Try spending some time with it through the TT. Maybe you’ll find the low end you’re looking for. I love the pickups and wouldn’t change a thing. But a Loller in the neck wouldn’t be a bad thing. Too nice a bass to give up on IMO and will be highly sought after in a few years; particularly by those here who have been on the fence about getting one (they know who they are).
Is there a vid of this latest show with Hoke? I really enjoyed the last one.
There are attention seekers everywhere. And they can be very skilled at ramping up the crazy.yep - even if not fakes, a need for attention can accelerate eccentricity.
I call shenanigans... 6 hours of cooking must have involved at least 1 bottle of wine per cook and yet you were silent on drinking.6 hours of cooking, 5 minutes of eating, nap time.
Our son brought pumpkin spice caramelized onions. Took three hours to prepare. Tasted amazing. (It all did.)I had forgotten something! Homemade honey oat bread.
What I thought.Scott swapped with Veronica.
That's just funny and cool! Good Dad!Love brisket!
I just finished cooking a traditional breakfast (pancakes, bacon and eggs) this morning, but as is family tradition, I did a little something different with the pancakes for my daughter. She loves Alaskan king crab, which we are having for dinner, so I made her some crab for breakfast as well…

Yeah, if the music is good enough I'm with you. After all, it is entertainment not a dissertation--and most musicians are not the place to look for great advice. This club being the rare exception. If I otherwise like the song, I'm fine with nonsense lyrics. I spout enough myself.

So very true, but definitely not limited to academics, but they are indeed be one of the greatest offenders in attention craving endeavors. With academics, it is best to ignore the eccentricity. They will inevitably ramp up the crazy for attention if they are fakes, eventually self-destructing. The true eccentrics aren't going to change so just live with it.
I know the feeling of a bass not clicking at first. But give it some time and more typical settings to evaluate it properly. Even consider a few string options first. I almost hated my '06 because it did not sound like a Thunderbird to my ears. But I went through many strings and much patient encouragement from the members here and I now love the bass. Having had that '64 and even '76 sound in my head it still sounds different, but I'm happy with the tone and so in love with how it plays I can't imagine getting rid of it. Except maybe to fund a Greco or even a BaCh now (thanks ScottI don’t think anyone video’d the other night. Shame, as it was pretty cool
I did try the ‘21NR with my TT800 at one rehearsal. It was with my Mesa SW115 cab. I didn’t really love it. One combo I might try is my Mesa D800/Berg HDN212. The D800 has deeper low end and punch and the Berg is punchy with clearer highs than my SW115 or SW215. All 3 cabs have great things about em though.
Heck, I dunno. I have more basses than I’m comfortable with. I’m not a collector at all and have a bit of anxiety about not being able to walk into my music room for all the dang basses and guitars at the moment. The rub is that I love or have an attachment to most of em. I’ve had worse problems, I reckon![]()
