Thunderbird Club

I want to change out the strap buttons on my IV and add Dunlop Straploks. I have a set in black but the screw holding the current button on the neck plate has too big of a head. I need long course screw threads and really want to keep it black. I know I could go to the hardware store and rummage around, but anyone have a better suggestion for a replacement?

The lack of screw standards for strap buttons and locks is why I didn't put my old StrapLocks onto my birds!

Sure, you can tour my bass room, Come on down, you’re always welcome, as is everyone else here. I guarantee you’ll go home with more basses or guitars or gear or accessories than you came with. ;)
I was excited at first (basses!@) but by the time I got to accessories, I was envisioning myself going home with a mauve clutch, which I have no use for.

Oh come on, I have just the bangles you’ve been looking for, or on second thought, maybe a pair of my stage shoes…

Sounds great. :bassist: I'm going do a one-on-one with the engineer who will be recording my band next month to get specific bass tone for each of the four songs we will be recording. One fretless, one hollow-body and the other two standard 4-string. Possibly four different basses, but at least three different. Also thinking about double-tracking. Really looking forward to it.

Sometimes when I scan the forum (or anything) quickly, my free association kicks in and I see things differently (who would have guessed?) Here, I saw, "I'm going do a one-on-one with the engineer who will be recording my band next month to get specific bass tone for each of the four strings we will be recording." My mind immediately started wondering where you got the quad pickup, where you'd put it, whether it was hi-Z or lo-Z, etc.

Actually, for books, if I am told it is terrible, I will read it (or as much as I can stomach) to confirm or refute. But books are the anomaly; I will take trusted opinion on movies, TV shows, etc.

I am often surprised by books. back around 2000 I picked up Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice) autobiography in an airport as some mindless entertainment for my flight. But is was actually a really interesting read; many insights into the pop star machine.

I'm wanting to check out Ronnie' Spector's bio.

I have no problem with his price, I PM'd him to see if he'll take a cashier's check from my credit union via UPS overnight as payment.
When you get it, pictures or it doesn't exist. And, if you bring it to work, I promise I won't swipe it. I would trade for the Flamingo, maybe. Maybe not.

It looks great. I didn't realize you bought a brand new one. When you try that one, you may find that your concerns about neck dive will disappear. Or maybe they won't. That's the one thing about bolt-on Epiphones. They sure sound good with the right strings, and they are Thunderbirds.
