If you’ll be in Morro it’s absolutely worth a quick jump over to Paso Robles for some wine tasting at Sculpterra Winery, we’re members there and can treat you to some phenomenal reds, bring the camera, it’s not like any winery you’ve ever seen. If you like to hike and see some breathtaking coastline, drive a few minutes south of Morro to Montaña de Oro state park, be sure to take your camera there too. Not sure if you’re flying in to LAX, but if so we might be able to hook up with @MCF and @D.M.N. in the LA/Malibu area for some bites or maybe a gig. Of course in you’re in the Ventura area you’re always welcome to drop by my house and put a few basses through their paces.Chuck, where in Cali are you exactly.
I’m still working out the trip to the west for the end of June.
But things are looking bleak to make it up to headquarters.
Maybe somehow, I can at least see you, Geo and George.
Hmmmm, I know I’ve seen that Logo before, just can’t quite recall where.we should just all meet here and wine and dine the queen @TBird1958 ….before we go to Winters…

hey, didn't realize you were that far north...go to the Nards all the time...Beachcomber is one of my favorite hangs....few places have retained that dreamy, surfy Cali beach bar vibe...If you’ll be in Morro it’s absolutely worth a quick jump over to Paso Robles for some wine tasting at Sculpterra Winery, we’re members there and can treat you to some phenomenal reds, bring the camera, it’s not like any winery you’ve ever seen. Cricket is pretty straightforward to understand. It is just boring to watch...![]()
Well maybe I need my reading glasses on when using the phone….Yep - CA rules for coastal beauty. Beth & Mona out hiking near the HW1 tunnel in Pacifica. The thing on top of the mountain is a WWII bunker in decay. It's all boarded up now but when I first moved here in '90 I climbed inside of it. Concrete walls 3' thick. Erosion at its base makes it look like a pedistal with a strange monument on top.

The logo? it's called Trinacria, it's on the flag of Sicily....the three knees represent the three corners of the island....the twigs represent the fertility of the island and Medusa, the protector of the island...

I thought that was a fancy golf course and the lady was near the top of her backswing, aiming at the green on that little pedestal of land.
your description works too.
Nah, the three legged Medusa
Nah, the three legged Medusa
You need to see Will’s pink bird!
@Gaolee
Same thought here.
Mine was supposed to be BMM, but it is more Heather Poly. And I am happy about it. It will yellow a bit with age, which will be interesting.Heather Poly - Gibson's version of Fenders Burgundy Mist Metallic. In that light, very lavender. BMM has more 'rose' it.
I can't recall who, but some guitar manufacturer used that body shape for a while. I can see it in my head, but can't think who did it a few years back. I like the shape.
EDIT: Yes, that's it Bent77! EB had the Big Al.
It looks very much like the guitar St. Vincent designed for EBMM.
Thanks for the reminder - I wanted to read that book and will get on it! I was a big Warhol fan as a young budding artist in the '60s entering art college in the early '70s. Loved Pop Art and all its artists; Johns, Litchenstein, Oldenburg, Rauschenberg et al. Was kind of obsessed with Warhols' underground universe. Back then I looked a lot like Warhol "superstar" Joe Dallesandro - complete with long straight hair, head-band, jean jacket and pose! As strange as this was, Warhol's Slavic mother looked very much like my Polish grandma. Her/his name was Warhola.

Haven’t been to Beachcombers in a couple years but it was always a neat little stop after being at the beach all day. I almost bought a beach house that was only a few doors down from it, coulda been my “pub”, but decided there was too much unpredictability on property values with a Naval base located just across the street.hey, didn't realize you were that far north...go to the Nards all the time...Beachcomber is one of my favorite hangs....few places have retained that dreamy, surfy Cali beach bar vibe...
