Do we need a gofundme to get you some footwear?

I only wear Pyramid Gold flats…

It has a few unique features for sure. The hs may look like a NS Sig or a Spector but I doubt it is either one. I'll guess since it has Gotoh tuners, it's a Japanese export bass of presently undetermined brand from the late '80s-early '90s. So one volume for both h pu's together? That would be odd. How does it sound?

a PJ’s like a Jazz Bass with more balls.

At the same time, if you have influence, why not use it? And if you've made a ton of money and been smart about investing it, you can take the financial hit.

I don't want to get too involved in a political topic here as I have very strong feelings related and I don't want to jeopardize this thread. We have our own thread where things like this are always freely talked about/discussed. So I'll only say there has been some very important music made that was 100% about/addressing what was happening at the time. (socio-political) It might have turned-off some people, but it activated more to attempt to work for change. Not so much today sadly. Music can a powerful voice for change - not just for entertainment.

From November to mid-January, people on Next Door were routinely posting videos of porch pirates and vehicle thefts. AFAIK, nothing ever came of any of them. You have to get *really* clear footage of something important (license plates, faces, etc.) to have a remote chance. They can help, but not nearly as often as people think. Part of that is cheap equipment, part is camera placement & lighting, part is luck, part is local law enforcement load & concern.

I learned that much has to do with the police. I think you could hand them the thief with iron-clad evidence and they'd blow you off. In Pacifica, they had a major Peninsula Police hub within minutes of where I lived. (they could care less) and here in the Mission SF? Can you say pissin' in the wind?

My drummer friend and I are putting together a Motown/R&B cover band. I was singing backups the other night on What’s Going On and Love Train. Those lyrics from 4 decades ago are relevant today.

My mom was a huge fan.
She was in that circle.

You know it.

Most excellent - it's unimaginable that either of my parents would have known who Archie Shepp was and and even more unimaginable that once hearing, they would appreciate his music! No wonder you like Zappa.
