Thunderbird Club

Thunderbird Thursday!

Well the gest of the Dutch lyrics is how arguments, debates and such is basically all just talk, like the original song is about. But in Dutch, the word for BS talk is "C*cking" and "C*cking around", in this case "C*ck" as in a rooster. They're all crowing like Roosters.

But I also made a couple of references to the other meaning of the word...
Well, OK then.

I've not heard that. I've only seen that because of the words of SHA, didn't mean he was a NY hater. I liked Cinnamon Girl and used to play in in a band, other than that I never liked his music or him. I like a lot of the CSN catalogue, but without the Y! I really like the vocals, that's why NY didn't help!
I liked with and without. Four Way Street is still a great album.

Local Worcester Mass band called Beep Beep and The Roadrunners- 1966, this was a big local hit on the AM radio. I saw them in (I think 1968) at an outside concert at my high school sometime during the late 60's, they had two drummers, Vox Super Beatles and were great live. Why did I post this in a Thunderbird thread? I will tell you  The bass player had the second Thunderbird I had ever seen, the first was on a counter sitting there with no strings on it at the music store where I used to buy my strings. These guys rocked, I had this 45 when I was a kid.

Too bad they didn’t take off. That’s good stuff.

Laboriel's Goya sounds good on this deranged Pratt track. Could be Todd mixed with Crack The Sky.

That's a pretty cool song, that I've never heard before. (or of the band) By Todd, do you mean Todd Rundgren? Early '70s? It reminds me early Bowie and early Kate Bush and of this 1970 LP by an obscure Vancouver/Canadian band called Brahman. (apparently there's a more recent/different Brahman...) They have a bit of a prog/Yes vibe but since they were of the same time , they were more contemporaries than competitors.

I go way back with this LP, I bought it when it was fairly new in a local grocery store from the 'cut-out' bin (you'd have to be as old as me to know what that refers to ;)) and have always loved it. Two songs specifically - if you can't/don't want to listen to the whole LP - at least listen to "You Changed My Life" 16:13 (first song on side2 - should have been the first song on side1!) first, and then "Waiting to Love You" 26:34 (last song on side2 - a good choice for the last song) "Waiting to Love You" has some of the most aggressive bass recorded (sounds like an overdriven Ric played with a pick) and it drives the song like a locomotive. "Waiting to Love You" has some great Hammond B3 organ (Robbie King) and vocals both lead and background. That period was the golden era for pop-rock music (late '60s-early '70s)

Jim Dandy from Black Oak Arkansas (the first David Lee Roth), possibly had the worse voice I ever heard. Reminds me of some thrash metal singers.

Bass solo in this one.

At one point he sounded a bit like Beefheart. Definitely some buckle-rash on that EB-3...
 That's the old house. That was taken care of before we moved. That deck would look good after staining it, then after a while if would start looking awful really fast. The one at the new house it painted and was cared for before we got here--unlike the old deck. But now there are two decks to keep up with! The lower is new and wasn't painted at the time. Had it built because it made it easier for my mother. Both are repainted and painted now. (The wife is holding the little dog we just lost.)

Sorry to hear about your little doggy passing. Beth and I can't imagine what it's going to be like when our little Mona passes someday - she's our fist dog and we are so deeply connected to her.

I know, asking a lot... asking more just to notice a box right at the entry that the package would fit in, and it has a lock. 1+1=? ... but maybe that's also asking a lot... maybe I should provide a pictogram of what to do, caveman style.
