Here's a new production where I tracked a Fender American Professional Precision bass with TI jazz flats played fingerstyle. Tone and volume knobs on full --> Noble tube preamp (set flat) --> Focusrite --> DAW. This is an original anti-nuclear war protest song in lyric video format. Kind of a "Steely Dan feel." Peace.
@Passinwind? ^^Does anybody of you have a graph for the frequency spectrum of the TIs?
I can't find anything.

If anybody has it and maybe even one for the Labella dtf would be amazing!
You may want to loosen those neck bolts and pull the neck to the side a bit and re-tighten, so your strings are similar distance from edge of fretboard.Just put a set on my new P bass with a Seymour Duncan SPB-1 pickup . I did a full setup and raised the action 1/64th more across the board than my normal setting . I play with a pick and finger style and slightly raising the action worked out really well for me .
All I can say is I am blown away at the tone and feel of these strings . Will be running them through their paces with some guys I’m going to jam with Sunday night ! View attachment 4977997

Thanks for the advice . I do have a Fender vintage threaded saddle bridge on the way . That neck pocket is pretty tight ! I’m also planning on replacing the nut with a bone nut . It’s a fantastic bass sounding bass and just feels so good to play . Worth a few upgrades but I wanted to give a test run before I did them .You may want to loosen those neck bolts and pull the neck to the side a bit and re-tighten, so your strings are similar distance from edge of fretboard.
It’s a fantastic pickup . Very full across the bass , mids , and treble . Not to dark and very full and articulate not losing any low end which is full but tight . With these strings it’s a tone machine . I love how these strings take tube overdrive from my amp very very well . It has stopped my personal search for precision pickups .How does SPB1 compare to the original pickup?
Maybe I get one of these soon.
The only way you're going to really "hear what they sound like" is to try a set on your bass as played by you.Forgive me if this has been covered…
Anyone currently running TI’s on their G&L L-2000? Considering them for mine. Would love to hear what they sound like.

This sounds like a perfectly valid reason for buying a new bass, don't you think?Hi folks!
I just got a gig which requires me to put rounds on ... my main player now wears TI Flats of course. I've never taken them off since opening the pack. Would you know if taking TIJFs off the bass for few months and restringing again changes their sound/physical behaviour?
I think I read somewhere here on TB that TIJFs are "deteriorating" when taken off the tension, due to their unique construction (have no idea if this is true).

I read one small blurb on here about the silk having problems when the tension is removed. The silk in the strings, not on the ends. That's all I got. I would hate to be repeating falsehoods, but there it is.Hi folks!
