Was that a question?Seven Nation Army always went down well in the bars I played?
BTW, I sold a 1973 Gibson EB3 L to a music store in St. Louis. Apparently, Jack White bought it from them to record with. The Mud bucker in that bass was amazing.Seven Nation Army always went down well in the bars I played?
Not really on topic but i like youngsters doing rock. It is cool to have some new rock now and again to tickle the ears. While i didn't like a lot of Greta Van Fleets music there was a couple i liked.
I kind of felt like that through jack White's different bands - Black Keys, Rocket Face, recently The Bites
This song is actually super fun to play on bass. It's on my setlist for a sub gig I'm on this weekend. If I get video of it, I'll post it here for ya.My last band was a classic hard rock, classic metal band. They wanted to do " I kissed a Girl" because a chick that came to the shows occasionally, wanted us to play it. Ridiculous.
In IMGL, Page seems to connect with him better, and it looks like he had more fun jamming with White, making The Edge the three’s a crowd guy.
I was learning it to be a team player. The band dropped it. I got close to that sort of sub bass sound. I think I could have done it. So, ill look forward to the video. Thank you. I appreciate that. This song is actually super fun to play on bass. It's on my setlist for a sub gig I'm on this weekend. If I get video of it, I'll post it here for ya.
Is that a possible thread. Songs we hate but play for the audience, or band?I don't like Thin Lizzy but I learned to suck it up when we played The Boys are Back in Town. I hated that vapid song (still do) but the audience loved it (like a few other songs we did...we all know what they are) so I bit the bullet and played it, loud and proud.
Bass is like the caffeine in Espresso…sure, you can do without it, but it just tastes hollow and empty.
I can cope with music with no bass, but espresso without caffeine has very niche appeal...
Like no alcoholYeah, it’s what I call a hollow taste. It tastes like espresso but there’s clearly something missing.
Not something I would spend money on.

You think the TalkBass servers can handle that kind of volume? Is that a possible thread. Songs we hate but play for the audience, or band?
