OK, I do better over a real backing track rather than trying to roll my own. Some simple bari riffing, came out a bit less stanky:

Low notes are still difficult to sound cleanly, but I love how they sound when they work right! Big fat bari sound!

So back to crappity sax playing - inspired by the "pipeline sax" guy on youtube (Armin Küpper ), I figured I'd try to emulate him using a delay and some reverb. It's harder than it looks to make it sound good, my rhythm especially needs work. But hey, work in progress:

Mostly just me filling it up with bad sax and oboe practice! Making good progress, though!

Thanks for the compliment! I don't know if it's professional sounding, I just have to go direct and hide it with reverb so I can't really get a "bad" sound out of it. People who can actually mix well always surprise me with the tricks they know that just take it that step further than I can. Also, if you can even make sounds with a woodwind instrument, you are leagues ahead of me!
