Do you think Cav will be able to transition to a non-sprinter ala Boonen and such, I don't really see it. Not that Boonen can't sprint, but he can do other things as well.

I don't see it with Cav. He's not the same kind of racer as Boonen (or Zabel before him) who also did well at the one-day Classics. Cav is a pure sprinter in the same vein as McEwen.

Sagan is a different animal. Sagan has the ability to get to the finish of tough stages/races, and his top-level sprint makes him hard to beat.

In my view, the only awesome thing about today's stage, was the blatant extent of Froome's 'SUPERHUMAN' performance.

Froome flew up the Ventoux quicker than Armstrong did for all but one of his (Armstrong's) tours (2002) and clocked the 2nd fastest ascent EVER...for the last 15 k!

I did. This happens and nobody bats an eye. Armstrong goes to a pool or posts something on Twitter and the world gets angry and pays attention real quick.

Impressive riding by Chris Froome. There is no question who the best rider in this year's race is. I was hoping for more of a drawn-out boxing match between the contenders, but Froome is making everyone else look extremely under-prepared for this year's race.

Big props to Richie Porte and Peter Kennaugh who gutted themselves in spectacular fashion on the lower slopes of the Ventoux in service of Froome. I thought Kennaugh was going to come to a stop and just fall over after he pulled off the front of the train.

Every Tour, a bright young star emerges on the big climbs. This year, Quintana is that star. He's been putting on an impressive display, and I hope we continue to see great things from him.

Froome is adamant that he's riding clean. I think that feed bag at 10k to go gave sky a boost. That and the sacrifice of his teammates.

It's amazing how many comparisons one could make with Sky and US Postal. A few people are jokingly calling them UK Postal.

Doping goes back way further than that.

Of course he is. So is everyone until the second test comes back, and sometimes they're still adamant.

I hope he's clean. I'm not holding my breath and still view the pros as entertainment. Highly suspicious results.
