I go into my compressor then the Le Bass. I use the effects loop for cab sim if I am not using an amp or the built in cab sim.

I would go straight into the front it will drive and boost a little for compression I use a TC electronics mini compressor brilliant and low cost works so well with many pre sets to choose with the le bass
I have the TC Electronics Spectracomp. I tried all the presets and I really like the default one. AT the 2-4 position is great for low compression, in the middle for moderate, and I dial it when I need when dig in and soft play the same way. With the Le Bass, Spectracomp sound better before the Le Bass. I tried it in the loop and it did not get my juices flowing. All I can say is experiment and go with what ever floats your boat.
I haven't experimented with custom tuning the software for the Spectracom. I will do so when I am done with my doctorate. You can pick up one of those from GC for about 60-70 bucks.

I just the Torpedo CAB-M. Using it with the Le Bass it works really well. This is my chain right now: Bass>Spectracomp>Le Bass>CAB-M

I've downloaded some IRs and combined them to get my sound instead of using the stock cabs and mics, if that's what you're asking. Happy to answer any questions you might have.
I've kind of pared my live rig down to a VT Bass DI, a Keeley Compressor, and a Sonic Research Turbo Tuner, and my Le Bass and Torpedo Cab M have been living in my studio as of late. I still love the sound of the Two Notes stuff, but the Le Bass has stopped working in bypass mode and the nuts for the jacks keep falling out. Probably an easy fix, but I decided to pull it out of live use to help prolong its life at least until I can get it in to someone to be looked at. Just waiting until I complete a recording project for a friend before I do that.
Yes I use the same rig as you with the TCs own comp setting ,and I go into the wall of sound, I use the 8x10 speakers, but I am not there yet ,I am aiming for the late Chris Squire( clanky sound) can anyone help advice, how to get this? I also have needed an Ampeg 350, and a HX stomp?
I just got a Le Bass preamp. Sounds great, but the power input jack seems to wiggle a lot. Is this normal?

I have a Le Bass arriving on Saturday (thanks, Rojd!), and I just recently acquired a Cali76 CB. My question for those with both is, do you run the comp before, in the loop, or after Le Bass?
Putting it before obviously puts it before the preamp, putting it in the loop puts it after the preamp but feeds the compressed sound into the XLR. You can do it either way with different results. I preferred it before the preamp, in light doses. The preamp will add a little of its own natural tube compression.

I agree, compressor before the LeBass, and in a similar fashion, I have TC Corona Chorus in the loop. However, I also have Broughton Resonant Filter Equaliser in the loop as a tone shaper. This can act as a cab sim of sorts or as I use it, just to help tighten the low end by filtering out sub frequencies and to remove some of the raspy harsh highs also because it has both HP and LP filters. I really like this combination and this is my always-on base tone.
I run my SA Spectrum, my Zoom MS60b and Cali76 into the Le Bass, and I have my SA Programmable EQ, AmpTweaker Curveball Jr. and my Broughton HLPF in the loop, all in that order. I run into a Yamahe DSR112 as my "amp" set up, and I find that it is working really well. And it works really well for IEM's also.
I still maintain that you can get a really cool sound by sending an overdriven Le Bass into the right compressor, but, as previously stated, I still preferred it before the pre.
I don't use OD a lot, so comp before makes more sense for me. I can see where it would sound good, but for the few times I kick it on, the Le Bass does the trick nicely.
Hi that sounds a good chain I use an eq last in my guitar rig chain for shaping improves the sound brilliantly, as for Bass I only play in the studio when recording.
Has anyone explored the Midi capabilities of the Le Bass? I have a Source Audio Spectrum that I change patches on from a DMC Micro. I also have a Source Audio Programable EQ and a Zoom MS60b that I would like to be able to change patches on. I am a Midiot, and would need a lot of help with this! Just curious what my options are, and do I need to purchase another midi controller of some kind?
I am an Midiot as well, and have a new HX Effects. Would be interested on how I could use this with my Le Bass and it's MIDI capabilities.
