Has anyone come up with other uses for the MIDI out other than changing patches on the Torpedo? I would guess it would be more advantageous with the guitar based pedals chained together to add delays and such.

I'm kind of torn between mounting it in my rack and controlling the patch changes with my Peak MIDI controller or putting it on a pedalboard. I was thinking about leaving it bypassed for my fingerstyle tone and then use channel A for slapping and Cold Fusion for a little grind for some of our more rockin' tunes.

I made a few changes to my board. I found that if I put the Aguilar Octa

mizer first in the chain, it tracks my basses real nice. I also changed the env filter for this next set of gigs. As it turns out I need more clean bass sound with the env effect. You know 1970's P-Funk style....lol. The heartbeat of my big fat tone is my Le Bass with all the effects going through it's effects loop.

The Le Bass kills the VMTD v2. Hands down, IMHO anyway. BUT, the VMTD has a much better footprint. I'd have no use for a VMTD with the Le Bass. I guess you could feed the VMTD into it but that wouldn't work for me. The VMTD is voiced differently though. More middy "klank" if you will... though not like the B7K. I was more of a fan of the Vulcan XL than the Darkglass products.

I take it then that the Le Bass abruptly cut short your honeymoon with the VMTD v2? ;)

Very promising pedal, I have to say. Can't remember reading any bad reviews about it. Still, I have some things to clarify. How does this pedal handle the more vintage, crunchy sounds? Think of Geddy Lee/Chris Squire. Both of them run two-amp rigs, one for clean and one for dirty. My idea was that the cold fusion mode does something similar. With some EQing I could make channel A bring the bass- low mid frequencies clean, while using channel B for the mid/treble frequencies distorted. Any thoughts on this setup?

I'm planning to use it with an amp. My signal chain would be Squier Jazz - Two Notes Le Bass - Hartke HA2500 - Hartke 115TP.
Any ideas if I could make it work?

If you are looking for Rush/Yes type tones with a Jazz bass then this pedal will absolutely fit the bill.
