Received my Le Bass. Haven't had a lot of time to play with it yet but initial impression is favorable. I wish channel A had mid control. In what mode are you all running? I'm hoping I can run in channel A for my always on clean sound and then be able to switch to channel B for a more dirty sound on songs that require some OD. But I noticed the cold fusion mode sounds pretty darn good. How exactly does the Fusion knob work in cold fusion mode? As you turn clockwise is it bringing in more of channel B?
I was very concerned about how big these are but the pic below shows it on a Pedaltrain mini (old style). I haven't applied Velcro yet but you can see how it sits. Hangs over the top and bottom slightly. I think it will work on that board! Still wish it was smaller though.

When in Cold Fusion mode, the Fusion knob sets the level of Channel A that you hear mixed with the Level from Channel B's Volume knob. When in Cold Fusion mode, Channel A's Volume knob is completely ignored.

How does the Le Bass do for unity gain with 2 output levels? I use a Bongo 6 (18v) and an SR505 (9v) and I'm in the market for a preamp that can get a variety of tones but mainly give me 2 channels to work with so when I change instruments I only need to hit a footswitch rather than adjust the gain on my head and *hope* the sound guy doesn't want to wring my neck! I really dig the sound of the TwoNotes preamp but I'm torn between it and just going with a Sansamp Deluxe...
You could use it for that but channels A & B sound pretty different to each other.
Why not grab a small blender or Boss LS-2, or a boost pedal? Dial in the level difference, change the line or boost depending on the bass, make everything nice and even keel before running into any effects?
I swap the VT Deluxe with Le Bass in the e-store's cart twice a day. Still need some convincing with pressing "Buy"!
Yeah, I really think you need to try both for yourself. Buy both and return the one that doesn't make the cut.

My Le Bass will be here tomorrow from Sweetwater. Will be A/B ing it against a 3Leaf Enabler. Only one will make the cut.... oh the drama.
Patiently waiting for someone to A/B Le Bass against the Noble Preamp ...

The Enabler is a mighty fine preamp if you are looking for a very clean and powerful box. The clean channel on the Le Bass is lacking in my opinion compared to the Enabler so if you are looking for a clean and transparent preamp the Enabler is the bees knees. The Le Bass shines in the "dirty" channel or in Cold Fusion IMHO.
Pretty much how I have the clean channel set too. Bass at 8:00, Treble at 9:30sih and Gain at 1:00.

...let me explain.
I've bought the pedal with the intension of using the 'colored' sound and the 'thru' sound at the same time... Basically mixing the Le Bass sound with the clean sound of my bass (into a two channel amp).
Problem1: direct out and 'thru' are in phase (tested it with my two channel Phil Jones Bass amp and on my UAD audio interface)
Question: is this normal? Is this the same with other preamp pedals that have a pre EQ parallel output?
Interesting: when both channel A and B disengaged the two outputs are in phase alignment - amplitudes add up, not cancel each other out
Problem2: the pedal just does not feel as sturdy as other pedals I've had ... (I am just talking about average pedal sturdyness)

so I don't know what to do ... return the pedal and buy another one with similar features? I've written an email to Two Notes to ask whether this phase issue is normal or is it a warranty issue...

I think you meant to say they are out of phase? In phase is not a problem.
If so it's very unlikely to be a QA issue and more likely a design flaw. Does the phase flip back again in hot fusion mode by any chance?
