If so it's very unlikely to be a QA issue and more likely a design flaw. Does the phase flip back again in hot fusion mode by any chance?

yes sorry, I meant out of phase :)

nope, changing hot/cold fusion doesn't change anything... switching-on either one or both channels will put the two outputs out of phase


oh...another thing that happened - when first testing it, when switching form cold to hot fusion the pedal just went silent. Back to cold - it did what it should - than switching back again to 'hot' nothig... the hot/cold button was like a mute 'button'.

After switching the pedal off (plugging the powersupply out) and back again solved this one...and has never happened since...
... this makes me wonder - what is really analog/digital in this pedal...

You might have gotten a defective unit, contact Guillaume Pille (owner) on facebook he is very responsive and nice.

phase cancellation

It is not that unusual when you are splitting your signal and run it through two amps ... that is why most Y boxes have got a phase correction switch.

What is not clear to me is wether it is normal to have phase cancellation between two signals from the same source or is my pedal defective (as RoeyHaviv suggested above)... as in this case the two signals - 'direct out' and the 'thru' of the Le Bass - are phase cancelling each other.

As for the cab sim, it only comes with one "fridge cab" sounding one. You can only turn it on or off.

This Hot Fusion mute incident could have easily been caused by unknowingly having the Fusion knob all the way down at the time Hot Fusion was engaged.

At that point, switching to Cold Fusion, Channel A alone, or Channel B alone, would have resulted in sound and would have one believing that there was a problem with their Hot Fusion mode.

don't know ...I've tried to reproduce the cold/hot button becoming a mute button effect several ways but did not manage...

anyways ... I've written an email to Two Notes support to ask about the phase issue being a defect or that's just how this pedal is.

I'll buy a Y-Box with a phase correction option if must be and probably keep the pedal even if this is how it is...

(maybe) useful information for all of you:

Two Notes confirmed:

"Indeed, the Le Bass is inverting, the output has inverse polarity with regards to the input."

........

Nice customer service btw... my customer support email submitted during the weekend got answered within the first one or two office hours on Monday morning.

...and it works :)

EHX nano LPB-1 ... nice booster that costs like a fourth of any other phase inversion solution (Y box, switch whatever) ... and the signal is also loud enough on the parrallel out, too :)

This box will be mine soon! I swear it! ;) Just gotta sell my Bassbone. And my MicroAmp. And my VT Bass pedal. And my MXR Bass Pre. ;) Sounds as though I won't need any of them anymore anyway... ;)

Has anyone come up with other uses for the MIDI out other than changing patches on the Torpedo? I would guess it would be more advantageous with the guitar based pedals chained together to add delays and such.

I'm kind of torn between mounting it in my rack and controlling the patch changes with my Peak MIDI controller or putting it on a pedalboard. I was thinking about leaving it bypassed for my fingerstyle tone and then use channel A for slapping and Cold Fusion for a little grind for some of our more rockin' tunes. How is the bypass? Clean?
