fella I know in Glasgow has templates for 1st,2nd and 3rd gen Fury PGs. Does them in around 30 different colour combos.
Pickguard Heaven made the guard for my Forum Plus--which is virtually a Gen 3 Fury guard.
I did have to send it in to get copied.
I ordered a Gen 2 from them... they put the order on hold as there are multiple variations on Gen 2...

Likely just to say there are multiple p-fury guards. The one you need is the one that’s straight across below the pickup.
Yes, that is the Gen 2.
There are Gen 1 Slant SF, Gen 2 straight across, and Gen 3 curvy....as far as I know, that's it.
If there are variations on a Gen 2, I want to know what... so I can make sure I order a guard correctly.
I did not record what exactly was the difference...
they contacted me and asked me to send back about 10 measurements.
When it arrived, it was perfect.

I don't remember the reasoning, either, it was over 3 years ago. Maybe they needed precise screw locations and some finer details in the cuts and curves..?
Either way, when the replacement came back, it was spot on!
I only know Gen 1, 2, 3 after that, I lose interest.
I'm glad you guys brought it up, it would never have occurred to me that Peavey made changes to the Gen 2 Fury pickguard configuration.
I was hoping somebody here had a Gen 2 Fury B/W/B that they were not using because they put something else on theirs.
I have ended up with a number of pickguards in my parts drawer:
I've got a single ply black Gen 3 Fury guard.
I've got a Fury Gen 1 B/W/B guard.
I've got a brand new Fender Precision B/W/B guard.
I've got a new tort Precision Bass guard.
I have two new B/W/B Jazz Bass guards.
I have a white Squier CV 50's Precision Bass guard.
I have a single ply white Peavey Predator (Strat) guard.
Anybody want to buy a cheap pickguard, let me know.

Oh, and it took about 2 1/2 weeks to get the guard sent, copied and returned. Not bad at all. Not sure what the lead times are now.
This pickguard is from Chandler / Pickguard Planet. Item PG 326 (G2 Fury) Material color #62 - black pearl. Made from their template - fit my '88 perfectly. $81.00 delivered in two weeks. Came out a little bit darker than I expected, but I'm OK with it.
It looks great on that bass, I like it because it came out darker than most black pearl.
That's why I'm thinking about something different on my Gen 2 Blue Fury.
The aged white guard is fine (because it's aged) but I'm not usually a fan of white pickguards on anything.
There is a guy in the classifieds who is wanting to trade his blue Gen 2 Fury bass for something and it has a B/W/B guard on it that I like better than my white.
I also think your black pearl would look great with the blue.
I think a good tort would look great with the blue.
I think a black/blue abalone guard would look great.
Was thinking something gold maybe.
Opinions anyone?
I think that color of blue paint on your Fury looks great . . . so maybe choose some pickguard material that no one else has ??

When I got my Forum Plus, the pickguard was spray painted semi-gloss black and looked rather punk rock. I used elbow grease and some fine sandpaper to remove the paint. The original white was aged to a pretty cool parchment, but was rough enough to inspire a new guard. I went simple and did a single ply matte black and really liked it. I too don't really care for white guards--60s Fender mint green or a really deep parchment, yes, but not white.
However, if I was to do it again, I would order two guards, one black and one with a lot more flair, like the candy crushes, brushed metallics, darker sparkles, florentines...
I got this Fire Opal for my 72 J, it would look pretty cool on Peavey's 62 Blue.
But in the end, I opted for this green 4 ply... It's louder, draws attention away from the natural ash and really makes this dear old bass mine (along with the Barts, J-Retro and BadAss II, lol).
FWIW, I don't really like natural wood instruments much either, hence the 'guard choices...
Hey @Shawn Luckman: Here's the 2 84s! The most recent one is on the right.
They are very similar: they weigh within 4 ounces of each other and all the neck specs are nearly identical-can't feel any difference at all. The serial numbers are 01920XXX and 01963XXX, so they are seemingly both from later in '84, if the serials were released fairly consecutively. I put a .01uF tone cap, push/pull series/parallel pot, Stealth string tree and flats on the left one. The right one is stock with the original .02uF tone cap and stainless rounds.
Oh, and Schaller Straplocks on both.
Oh, since it was a 100% impulse buy, I really gave the 'new' 84 a very judgmental inspection as I didn't need it at all and would have returned it. I didn't want it if it had any issues. However, this bass straight-up fell into place really nicely, as most do. Refoamed the case tonight, too.
