I don't really play 5 stringers, but for $400 it looks decent.
Probably Indonesian?

Made in Korea. I had one. The bass was well made and the electronics were just okay sounding IMO.

That is one classy Foundation-Patriot. It's hard to read the headstock. Is that a Patriot neck ? Dumb question, it must be or why call it that. Sorry.

but the '87 Patriot neck is very unique for a 1.5" nut 80s Peavey neck. It's really beefy at the shoulders vs all Foundy necks I have played. It's really a cool profile, for me, a little deeper U-ish. It's a semi-controversial profile with my other bass buddies, though. I like that it's still narrow down low, but plays much like an early 50s P up the neck. Plus, it's proven itself to be a very solid, stable neck ,therefore it needs to be attached to a body!

Those are killer basses ! I'm SURE the TL-5 stands up against the Alembic Epic. I know a lot of Alembic owners also own Peaveys. Coincidence ? Or is it because they are both USA made excellent basses ?

Super Ferrites are easily my favorite passive bass pickup. However, I loooove EMGs, too. EMGs are so practical.

Howdy! Been a hot minute since I posted anything here.

So I got two mostly identical Peavey Fury bass guitars (early 90s models). One of them I got when I was 16. It's red. Later on, I got a black one for real cheap on ebay, modded it and then actually played out with it awhile.

Well, I don't need two basses of the same model (I need to make room for another Reverend ), so I literally swapped the bodies, so I can have my old red body with all the better parts of the new one. I'm gonna give the leftover bass to my drummer, which will still be pretty nice.

But I ended up needing a new bridge, so I got a black one (I love all black hardware, as opposed to Chrome, on certain guitars). Now I need black tuners to go with it, but they are not cheap. /sigh

If anyone knows offhand the peg size for the Fury tuning machines or a flawless drop in option (in black only), please let me know! I might go with some Gotohs, but gott dang... Like $80 shipped. Not drilling holes in my headstock for $18 Amazon knockoffs, either.

Honestly I dont mind the early candy apple red, its the later Fisher Price red that drives me up the wall lmao
