That's clearly a USA Redwood Cirrus, it was also customized as it has maple fingerboard. I don't know what else one can say apart from "try to find a non usa cirrus that looks like that".
And a really lovely and unique redwood Cirrus at that.
Whether you convince the person or not @Larry Balara, you have a gorgeous bass on your hands...and now I have serious G.A.S. Sigh...
As far as I know, there were no import Cirrus basses produced with Maple fingerboards or Redwood tops. That bass was made in Meridian.
And a really lovely and unique redwood Cirrus at that.
I agree, that is a beauty...these Cirrus's are starting to grow on me!

I really appriciate all the great comments!! What really bugs me though is the incredible amount of inconsistancy of Peavey. I understand it's hard to keep a business afloat but is seems no matter who you farm out some of the work it should be consistantly done. Just to find out when and where your bass was made shouldn't be this demanding on a customer.
I have the exact 4 string. Best Cirrus for R&B with it's warm tone. Mine is a 2006 Made in USA.

@Larry Balara I can't imagine anyone doubting that beauty! Nor do I understand why it hasn't sold yet! Believe me, if I wasn't up to my eyeballs in 5 string Cirruses, that baby would already be on its way to Thundarville! That maple fretboard is my weakness!!

Please explain... are you finding that some USA basses were abused OR you believe they are not consistent?
I'd order a USA fury all day long mail order... .I can't say the same about a fender p.

IF you're talking about the commodity import era... they were sold on price to large box retailers.... not what we obsess about here (yes, I also own some BXP and internationals). Import haters forget there'd be no Squier and Epiphone quality without Peavey engineering lessons learned.
Our collective opinion is to order a USA from a cult member.
Except that both Squier and Epiphone were outsourced long before Peavey and the oft cited CNC first was a first only in the US, Matsumoku invested in CNC machinery mid 70's.
I should have added the word "labeling" to the sentence "inconsistancy of Peavey." I wasn't addressing build quality at all. My point is that being a company there should be a consistancy in the placement of serial numbers and where the item was made. My opinion is based on the fact that there were serial numbers stamped, painted, and ingraved on the headstock, not present at all, or on stickers some of which were on the back of the battery cover or the back of the control cavity cover or both, some have it on the top of the cover. Some have USA on them and like mine which has the sticker under both covers and neither have USA on them. The confusion this has caused is evident in the varied responses I received in my search to find where my bass was made. The conclusion was either look at the front of the headstock for BXP or know that USA models have the ABM bridge (I'm addressing specifically the Cirrus) and the imports have the individual "finger" style bridges. However, I recently found out there are USA Cirri with finger style bridges. So looking at the bridge is not a sure fire method either. I would not be suprised if there are import Cirri without BXP written on the headstock.
