Just do it thoughtfully. You can't "unsand"... 😏
Also some kind of oil or sealer, lightly wet sanded with a fine grit and steel wool'd, isn't a bad idea.

More power to him! If he gets $700 for his then I will sell mine on there for $1000....mine is minty with no sanded neck and still has the battery door and original case. :laugh:
There was a pink on there sunday that was priced at $1200...it sold quick!

I think most of us at lest are just trying to be helpful and give constructive contributions. You want a neck to last, it's generally a good idea to protect it from moisture and other elements. That's why we have 15,002 choices for finishes.

I'm cool with revoking the number. The guy I sold it to is selling it on reverb and has it listed locally for 450. I'm watching the listings for fun. I did double my money when I sold the bass. Although it played nice the frets were worn and that is not something I feel comfortable replacing myself. I did find a battery cover/holder which I have on order that I now have to return.

No fouls no harm committed :thumbsup: You also had the good grace not to follow the usual pattern, make gushing posts for 7 days to garner interest, drop a hint on day 8 "you love it but it's not working out" so thinking of selling; then come back and start the process again with the next pawn store find :laugh:
