As sad as it is to sell a bass you really like, it's makes it satisfying when it goes to a bassist who did his homework, knew what he wanted and loved what he bought.

It's a synthetic sheepskin. Got it from a Petco or something. It was for putting in the bottom of a dog house. But it's very soft.

This is my 1994 USA Peavey Fury, purchased last Saturday. I've wanted one for years but they have been impossible to find in my area. The tone and playability is... fantastic.

Question. How easy did the metal nuts wear out in the T40. Mine looks like the strings sit very low in it. Also the E string touches the wood behind the bit a little. I've got to get it setup and new strings, but can you find these metal nuts if you were to need them?

Thanks for the schematic. My 94 Fury wiring is different. Mine has a .047mfd tone cap, the tone control is wired off of the volume pot center lug and it has no .001 mfd treble bleed cap. I did add a 680pfd treble bleed cap to mine and can now dial in lots of different voices.

The metal topnuts were die cast and not available. They have a very hard surface so do not file it as die cast parts are not as hard in the interior as they are on the surface. I doubt the topnut on your bass is worn. The E string lightly touching the wood behind the topnut is really nothing to worry about as long as it is easy to tune and doesn't bind.

thanks, maybe its just in serious need of a setup. the tuners need to be adjusted a little they are a little loose. all in all i played it for 3 hours last night and i love it. maybe new strings and setup will fix this 35 year old monster. Thanks Mech
