I got one of these quite similar in color in the mail the other day (that one on GC used, if anyone knows which one im talking about), but i haven't been able to really play it. End of the semester, swamped with work, yadda yadda. At cursory glance, it needs a truss rod adjustment, bad. I, however, do not have the tools to properly adjust it, as my socket wrench is too thick to fit in the cavity. Worked fine for my foundation, but the nut is DEEP in the neck on this fury.

Ive been looking on here for awhile, and it appears the general consensus is that these work well enough? Invalid Link Removed

The neck also feels quite thick to my jazz-adapted hands, but i think it will feel a lot better without such high action. I will say though, i used it at my school's Winter Percussion Ensemble rehearsal the other day, and that pickup has some crazy kinda punch. I run my EQ with plenty of low mids, but i really had to back them off with this fury. Its not too heavy either, about 9-9.5 lbs. Really relieved, as i have been known to have back issues, and was praying it wouldn't be a boat anchor. Overall, a good quality bass that just needs a little honing in. Quite promising, pics when i can!

Haven't posted up in a while, but some good stuff in this thread. I have a hard case that needs an interior redo. Found some of the shots of the cases very helpful.

Picked up my Foundation the other day after not playing it for a long time (been thumping the G&L Trib L2500 a lot lately.) The sound of that Foundy is still just spectacular. Can't remember why I haven't been playing it. Had an instructor (Fender dude) stop in the middle a lesson and say, "That thing really has a voice, doesn't it." More of a statement than a question. Have to agree--it really does.

U can get the wrenches on ebay for 8 bucks they are the 5/16 gibson wrenches u can also use a 1/4"drive 5/16 socket and jam an allen into the ratchet side, that generally works.

I'm guessing the volume pot is not original? I can't see the markings they are in the other side. But none on the back if the pot. When I bought it I didn't understand the "circuit" so now I'm not sure it's wired correctly. Anyone else have pics inside their 45?

My first Peavey was a T45 that looked just like that one. I think it was called tobacco burst.

I bought it brand new at Apex Music in El Cajon California a few decades ago. I don't remember when I sold it (a few decades have passed), but I'm still drawn to owning another T45... just a matter of timing and finding the "right" one.

Okay good stuff, thanks! I tried to get just the socket in there (1/4" drive) but it just didn't have enough space to get the angle correct to get in there. I think I'd rather just have the correct tool anyway. :smug:

If you need a trussrod wrench right away, you can borrow mine - I'm right down the road in F-V. I can meet you somewhere with it.
