Yep. Missed a burst one on eBay last week for $305. When you can find them that cheap, I'm hesitant to pay $550. There is a CAR dyna 5 with SF pickups on Musicgoround @$299. It looks clean. Then again, two of those just sold on eBay for under 200.

I'm not sure if these are singles in the VFL casings, or actual VFL's. Either way, my fingers feel more at home, with more room, over a humbucker-sized pickup (versus my ESP's single J's for example), and they have that awesome arched/radiused shape that the Cirrus and GV had...BONUS.

Thx songwriter and Cowboy....I know there's a couple different version of the Milly headstock. I need to drive 1.5 hours to see this one so I just want to make sure.

First thing I noticed on my recent 97 Foundation 5 was the arched VFL pickups.

I truly stole this black on maple bass Foundation...under $100 but only because I talked them down because the bridge alignment was slightly off (which I corrected, quite a job too).

I never see USA Peavey basses in 5 stringers and I am in Peavey country......quite a few import Peavey in 5's though.

Love this bass though.....trying to decide whether to replace the red silk RW strings that I think may be Peavey strings.

Those Millennium headstocks with the "A", I'm sure that's on the Millennium Plus model.

More overlooked Foundation 5's here in the UK this week. One on eBay for £33,less than $50 :thumbsdown:
Thankfully the one last month that sold for £50 ($65) went to a good guy.Glasgow player Gary Grochla.

Well..just picked up a Millenium 4....almost perfect in Candy Apple Red! JJ model. The setup and action on this bass is the best I have ever played. Super low, not a hint of a buzz. I'm stunned at the playability of this thing. Pau Ferro board is absolutely gorgeous. Pics to come tomorrow. Stoked!!!

Headstock logos were the same on the Mill and Mill Plus models. Differences between the two were: Mill- Gotoh-type closed-back tuners, solid finish on body, non-figured neck. Mill Plus- Hipshot tuners, transparent finish on flamed maple top, birdseye maple neck. I've seen some in-between models, with solid-color bodies and birdseye maple necks, some with abalone inlays, etc., but the differences listed are generally accurate.

Everyone must be holding onto the ones they have. I've owned a few Mills, and stupidly sold them all, now they seem to be almost impossible to find, and when you can find them, they are expensive!

my eyes are peeled - but they are scarce! There was that blue one in the classifieds a couple months ago, before my GAS hit full strength - it was really nice. Different timing, and I'd have jumped all over it. I'm hoping that the buyer decides to part with it and puts it up here on TB :-) My new country project, I need a 35" scale bass for that nice low B!

Are you talking about the violet one?? If so, I can tell you that the buyer is quite happy with it, and won't be letting it go any time soon. That neck is one of the in between necks. By that, I mean she's got hipshot tuners, unbranded, and some birdseye, but maple dots rather than abalone. She is also a solid color, or at least was. That bass and a burst GV were frankensteined together into a graphite necked milly and a milly necked GV body. At that point, they became a KILLER milly, and a bolt on cirrus that hangs better than an actual bolt on cirrus. Shorter neck, fewer frets.
