BTW... Anyone have any early 80's Peavey knobs they could sell me???
Oh, and I do have one more Peavey Millenium AC. It's a 4 string, with a Hipshot drop D tuner. Because I already have the Mil 5 string, I don't need the 4 sting. Am planning on selling it.

In answer to your question, I would consider ONE Peavey bass to be enough. However, they are much like potato chips.....ONE is never enough! In my case, VPAD (Vintage Peavey Acquisition Disease) has compelled me to amass ten so far. This disease is incurable, communicable, but NOT fatal! I LOVE your "slant-PUP" Fury in natural finish! I just recently found one of those myself.

Good luck with the knobs. They only show up at high prices when something is parted out. Current asking is $25 but they seem to sell quickly @ $15-20 for good ones.
I picked up a brand new Millenium AC 4 a while back for ridiculously small money. Great instrument! All I needed to do was dress the fret ends.

I'll try here, when is the Peavey Cirrus 4,5, 6 coming out, this was advertised at the beginning of 2016 and here it is almost the end of the year and nothing on peavey's bass page but a picture of a Cirrus to click on to get to the bass page and yet know info about the Cirrus at all so how long is the really going to be?
Sweetwater even put out and ad in the new catalog advertising the Cirrus but nothing on there website and I sent them and email to ask when the Cirrus is coming out and still haven't heard back from them either.

Do I have a number? Current count, eight US made Peavey fives, one millenium bxp 5. Even that one holds its own as a bass.
Whilst perusing Guitar Center's used site, I stumbled across another Patriot this morning:

The listing is so new there is still no picture, but the description claims that it has a "Walnut" finish. Which leads me to believe that it is probably a mahogany model with an aged and dirty finish. For $149.99, how can you go wrong? Located in Appleton, WI. I hope someone here grabs it!

Dang....I'm actually very near Appleton on a business trip. I don't think I'll have the time to go by.
My one and only full size bass, a Peavey USA Fury. This humble tone machine does everything I need a bass to do. The pickup sounds great and the thin neck is a joy to play. I had two of these for a while but this one was the keeper.

Question for the Peavey nuts: did any pro touring (big name) players ever play the TL5, or the GV? I know Tim Landers played the TL5, as it was his signature model.

Michael Rhodes played a TL5 for a short while when they fist came out. I vaguely remember him endorsing Peavey in the eighties, but I could be wrong.

Stu Cook played one long after his time with Credence Clearwater Revival. I think he was with Southern Pacific at the time. It was for sale a while back.

1- Is there a Peavey 21 fret neck that is wider at the nut than my Patriot, but with the same pocket dimensions (and hopefully same style and approximate vintage) so it could just be bolted right onto my Patriot?
2- If so, do any of you have that neck and prefer the thinner faster one? I'll trade you.

My Mrs. just picked-up a 1984 Foundation for 75 clams. She sent a cellphone pic and it is black with a maple board. From what I can see, it has the correct knobs and the hardware looks OK. I have never looked at one up close. It should be here at casa del 9mm by this afternoon.
T-45 neck (~1 3/4" topnut) and B-Ninety neck (~1 5/8" topnut) are bolt ons. Neither are common. B-Ninety neck will have a rosewood fret board, contoured/painted peg head, mini-tuner holes and be less expensive. They also have a small fret board extension for the square butt look.
With a T-45 neck I predict serious neck dive.
Edit: 1st model slant Super Ferrite Fury. Same neck as T-45 with different name. Least common of all.
Edit 2: T-20 neck. Same as T-45/1st model Fury.

OK thanks. Do all the T series have the same neck? I've seen some T20 basses pretty cheap.
The T series seems to have the same headstock and similar size tuners as my patriot, so I imagine the only weight difference would be the increased neck width.
I noticed this on eBay... I just asked the seller to make some measurements for me.
