Guitar Center in New Jersey has an upgraded GV with case for $699, seems like a good deal, no? (I'm not interested, just wanted to give a heads up in case anywhere here is looking.)

I question whether it's an actual upgrade. The stock electronics are the same as a Cirrus, and are really good in their own right. Putting Bart J pickups in looks terrible, and I doubt they sound "better". Different, but not necessarily better. Plus, who knows what preamp they installed. The market has changed on these lately, but I've been able to get a couple in the past for aroun $3-400, IIRC.

Dunno, it doesn't say what the pickups are. Many of us really like the stock active VFL pickups. 700 is what I paid for my two cleanest GV basses. For that one, I'd maybe go $450. Hell, I got "the wife" from Reverb for $400, and that really wasn't that long ago. Maybe a year.

Always been partial to the metallic blue Peavey used. Somebody on here re-finished a Fury/T-20 with it,looked killer Course I can't find any photos now

Peavey also offered a gold color that was really nice. It was a bit darker than Fender's Shoreline Gold.

Well I still have, and love my ‘83 Aztec gold Foundation. I do love a 5 string too so I jumped out of my chair when I seen this Aztec gold Foundation 2000 for sale. Rare color, and I’m reading the 2000 was only made for a year or two (with that extra long horn). Can’t wait to get it home.

This Peavey USA bass love is a kind of sickness. I jumped on a Cirrus 5 I did not need when the price was lowered $300. It is all cleaned up and set up and ready to go to church with me in the morning.

The bad part is I keep looking at ads for older USA Peavey basses. I already own a fretless Foundation 4, Axcelerator 4 and 6, and Cirrus 5 and 6. I think death is the only cure for this addiction.

Oh yeah, I remember - I looked locally for a Palaedium, but they're rare, mate. If I find one, I'll shoot you a message.
Good luck with the bolt-on Cirrus - I imagine it's a great bass...

Has anyone stuck a hipshot a style bridge on a GV?

My GV/MILLY hybrid has a hipshot, because they're stock on the Milly. One of my GV basses has a Schaller. I put that on there, along with hipshot ultralights just to black out the hardware when I went to DR neon strings. What is your goal with the hipshot bridge?
