Uber 410 = Uber Bad *ss

Either way, you certainly can't go wrong. I have not heard the 212 in person, but I know that the 410 is really loud and huge in a two guitar, heavy-handed drummer rock mix. I have no complaints!
Yeah, what I'm afraid of though is that it will sound more like my NeoX 212 and not provide me with a different enough tone to make the expense worth it. The UB212 on the other hand I'm afraid might be too pillowy such that I don't get the articulation I want. Of course, I worried the same thing about the Eden 212xlt that turned out to be the perfect tone for me.

Eublet...I don't think you have to worry about the Uber 410 at all...this cab is the gnarliest 410 I've ever heard-fat, warm, snarly,...just plain viscious, up close and in the mix...and it sounds alot like a 212 cab...Peace...DAcat
Thanks. I'm just wanting to make sure it has some low-mid wallop to it, with a bit of a pillowy response, but not dark or muddy. I'm not worried about it muddy, but I'm afraid it'll be too articulate, like my NeoX 212. I don't need another articulate cab. So I'm betting the UB212 might be the better choice for me.

Hoping Dennis will chime in here when he gets a chance since he has used both.

Fear not - there is no lack of wallop with either of the cabs being discussed.

To my ear, the tweeter in the Uber 410 does more than any other tweeter in any other cab I've owned. I have a feeling that you can "turn down" the articulation by turning down the tweeter on these cabs.

I like a bit of zing coming from the tweeter. It's the upper mid articulation just under the cross-over that I find irritating in some cabs. The NeoX 212 I have take this just to the point I can stand, so I'm happy with it. But it's not really the perfect tone that I enjoy. If the Uber 410 is really more tamed in the upper mids, and retains any of the low-end character, then I would like it. I have seen a few people post here that they thought the NeoX 212 had more low end than the Uber 410. If that's true, then I wouldn't want the 410 I don't think. I really wish I could A/B all these cabs next to an Eden 212xlt, which is really the only cabinet I've ever felt had it all for my tastes in terms of tone.

Yeah, yeah, I know. Just go buy another 212xlt. That's not gonna happen, and that's all I have to say about that. :rollno:;)

hmmm...well, our Uber 4x10 might not be your cup of tea. It has more low-mid push then any cab we make but, it in NOT pillowy in the LEAST.

It will "transmit" some pillow qualities of a tube amp but, if you're using a SS amp, it will be a very quick cab.

As previously mentioned, my "Wall of Genz":

Even the cat is impressed :)

....looks a lot like my rig. Except my cat is an all-black long hair.:p

hmmm, that's a bit of a surprise. So what about the UB212 then? Will it be more pillowy? And does the UB410 have even more of a low-mid push than the UB212? Shoot me a PM if you prefer. I had hoped not to bug you with my questions. :D

hey Jason...PM answered. We aim to not have any of our product being "pillowy". ......soft. We want our product being aggressive, quick, punchy etc.

Hey guys

Looking for the best 4x10 lightweight cab I cab get.

Ive narrowed it down to the Berg AE410 or a Schroe...and now the Uber 4x10.

Where are the cabs manufactured?

I do not own a Genz amp....I would be running an Orange AD200b Mk3, or a Little Mark 3.

Comments?!

Thanks

I know for a fact that the Genz is make in Arizona...USA. I confident that the Berg and Shroeder are USA too. Berg.....up in Mass.

What would you say are the main differences with the Berg AE410 cf to the Uber410?

The problem is it wouldnt be a Genz amp....it would be an all tube head or a LM3.

I'm sorry but, I don't have enough time on the two, side by side, to tell.

Obviously, since my ear signs-off on our product, I like the GB....it is my favorite cab on the market. However, I also like the Epi 4x10 UL for certain applications and sometimes, just for something different.

The Epi is VERY different than the Uber and I've had a lot of side by side comparo time.

Bergs- Jim builds a very nice cabinet...great quality. A good friend of mine used Bergs exclusively. Single 12's and 4x10's.
