To go lighter than our current offerings in cabinets, our goal would be compromised.
Also, we're fully aware that many will be putting our lightweight heads on cabs from other manufacturers. That isn't the norm in the guitar world but it is quite customary in the bass world.
Ah an answer. Thank you. Just didn't make sense to me. The SM 12 is an extreme in the lightweight category but a heavy hitter. It just made sense there would be an extreme light weight heavy hitting cab. Not that some of those cabs are real heavy just a little more than the average lightweight IMO.
I have not played any of the GB Cabs so perhaps that is the part of the equation I'm missing.
BTW according to the tracking number I have an SM 12 on the way to me.
