Unwatchable movies

OMG LMAO!!!! :D Holy inability to comprehend camp Batman!!

One thing's fort sure, Tim Burton really jumped the shark on that one!

His remake of Planet of the Apes was a heinous crime, not to mention what he did to the Batman films. ARRRRRRRGH!

Tim Burton only directed Batman (1989) and Batman Returns.

Batman & Robin was Joel Schumacher.

I will agree that Planet of the Apes was an absolute disaster though.

I love that movie, and though I often forget about it, it has to be somewhere in my top 100 movies.

My hate of Leo stems from an older sister that tormented me with her love of Titanic, to where I hated every single bit and piece of that movie with intense burning passion. She literally saw it in theaters 30+ times, no exaggeration, and once it came out on video it was played at least once a week on the only cable equipped tv in the house. I'm sure you can understand that that is WWWAAAYYY too much Titanic for a 10 year old boy. And that godawful Celine Dion song she used to play on repeat all day (when she wasn't watching the movie)....
The thought of it makes me want to take a nailgun to my eardrums.

And because he was the root cause of her psychotic obsession, all that anger lay on his shoulders, though admittedly unfairly placed.

The absolute best part of Titnaic was when one guy fell from the stern and bounced of a propeller with a slight gong sound.

"AAAAAaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!" (bong)

Matticus...please...

he don't realize you're just funnin' with him

I know, and it makes it all the more hilarious for me.
I cant help when people take me too seriously.
I also cant account for poor taste. :D

The degree to which you're overreacting is beyond ridiculous. Seriously...

If seeing people disagree with your opinion isn't something you're capable of reading without flipping out, maybe the Internet isn't for you.

I think your lack of open-mindedness and your inability to let others voice their opinion without going ape is unfortunate.

Ha! Youre an odd one, aintcha? None of my previous posts were to be taken seriously. Id say it was you who was overreacting.
Must have been that venomous vitriol...

Anything with Will Ferrell. All my friends love his movies and continiously quote lines from Anchorman and Talledega Nights just to piss me off! Aargh

Other notable mentions go to :

Tropic Thunder
Little Nicky
Legally Blonde
Coyote Ugly
Kung Pow
Twilight
Meet the Spartans
Scary movie

Slightly off topic. Tv series that I cannot stand and would rather have a root canal procedure done.

Friends
Seinfeld

With the exception of the ones in bold I am right there with you.

Kung Pow is so bad it's good :)

Having followed this thread from the off, I seem to be in a bit of a minority. Whilst many of the films mentioned are proper turkeys, don't you suspect it's going to blow and therefore don't watch it? That's my rule of thumb.

Granted there are some films you start to watch and realise half way through that it sucks or whatever, but then you'd never sit through it again? By definition you've already watched it, therefore it isn't 'unwatchable'. I dunno, maybe I'm just over thinking this :)

Fwiw, Dances With Wolves is one film I've suspected would be unwatchable and so I've not put myself through the torment.

Having said all that, Mrs Crow - a major Dylan fan - made me sit through Renaldo and Clara. I was giving myself eyeball paper cuts to alleviate the boredom.

That's what smilies are for. :eyebrow:

I did think it was a strange and over-the-top reaction, but truth be told, this is the Internet ; I've seen people react that way to much less provocation. ;)

If you look back, Strat, I did use smilies in my first response :p
I may have left them out of the second one, but I thought the comment about not wearing any panties and the willy wonka quip made it obvious I was joking.

You should know Im not that easily worked up.

I cant stand Kevin Costner (so glad he couldnt do Django Unchained), and somehow Ive managed to watch Dances With Wolves way too many times.
A few times Ive had to watch it in class, like in 8th grade, and one time in high school.
The last time I had to watch it I was in a waiting room awaiting the Doctors arrival for my medical marijuana screening.

Add Waterworld, The Postman, The Bodyguard, Field Of Dreams and Robin Hood to the list of 'films I will never put myself through because I know they'll suck'. Hmmm...maybe I'm not a Costner fan. But I thought The Untouchables was great.
