Ah, well that probably explains it. The new sites are great. Very matter-of-fact and to-the-point. They state the intent of the product, design, methods, and materials. Much less fluff, and IMO a much more genuine appearance. :)

Can't wait to see the new Frudua site then.

Agree with spanky on that one, the Fruda site kinda reminds me of a realy shady used car sales pitch. That being said of all the models that fruda Jbass looking thing with the two bridge pickups would be my main intrest. Can you give us any idea as to what the price range is? Would it be less or more than a MIA Jazz Bass?

I've been asking the same question for a few weeks now. I'm guessing that these will be priced higher than the Fusion and Tuscany models but I hope not TOO much higher.

Yeah quite a few people have, since Mike isnt ready to give us a price yet maby he could give us a price range. Under 1000? over 1000? Under 2000? At least this would give me an idea if getting one shipped up here to Canada is a viable option for me. If its going to cost more than a Markus Miller 5 all said and done than I'd like to know so I can stop drooling over it.

Regarding the maple fretobard on the SuperB we are evaluating it.

Regarding the FGW site text. This site is dated back to the early 90ies. I agree with you that it suffers from some 90ies mood... I decided to leave it online as I am not so known abroad as a luthier. I thought it was good to give some info on my professional background... but I understand it may sound a bit ... strange now that you point out...

Anyway ... think how ahead was the hi resolution photo in 1996 and you will get the sense.

These handmade instruments are almost impossible to sell in USA due to the very high price in Euros.

The instruments we are going to sell in USA are Korean made versions of my handmade basses and guitars. I choosed the models I am most unique on and choosed the factory which the most possible followed my standards.

For some reason I like these Korean version even most. In my opinion they are very valuable instruments for the price.

The business on these last Koreans versions has grown so much that actually I only make about 10/15 instruments per year by hand and I have 6 months backorder. They are almost GFK guitar and the Real Bass.

To make things more clear. My handmade instruments are labeled "Frudua Guitar Works" (again sort of a 80ies name here ;).

The Korean versions are labeled "Frudua Direct Deal".

Korean GFJ will be only sligthly higher than the Fusion and SuperB basses. I have some photos but I do not know if I can post them here.

I have that Fusion 5. I played two Swings and one Super-B. The videos are gone now too. I will say that once set up to my liking, the Swing was a lovely 4 string J type bass. I do not want to compare it directly with any other brand names, per se. That said, they are MUCH closer to "brand F" than they are to "brand S" in terms of feel, solidity, etc.

That is good to know. I could use a good backup to my brand "S" bass..... :D

At Present, I have ZERO financial interest in the success or failure of this line. Take that to mean that my opinion is based on performance alone. These are nice basses, period. Do they compare with high end stuff?? No. Do they hold their own with others in their price range?? Absolutely. I think in the case of the two five strings, their biggest selling point is their unique electronics. To my knowledge, there is no other P+MM type 5 string on the market in that price range. Same with the Super-B, except that it is unique no matter the pricerange.
