Just an observation, looks like Victor is trying out amps on the gig - that's the right way. Everybody should try them out on gigs, but at a couple different gigs and rooms to be practical.
He hasn't had the god light "Ah that's my sound" amp moment otherwise he wouldn't be trying them all out. (IMHO)
No matter what he hears, I just want to hear him out front. So the sound engineer has got to have the handle on what sounds good out front.

I heard Vic was ditching bigger rigs and just going with a mic'd Pignose. Yes, on battery power.
In addition, he's dumping Fodera and going with JB Player, cause it doesn't matter anyway.

+1 I'm always confused when guys dis this combo. I've always found that rig to sound great. I'd have bought one in the early nineties if it wasn't for the weight.

The 800RB has stood and stands the test of time for tone.
Hartke in the "hands" of a good player can sound very accurate and sharp. I happened to dig my 2x10 XL when I played many gigs with it and a 400RBII.
Not every rig has to cost $5000 and/or weigh 6 ounces.
There was a beautirful pic of a beat-up 800RB on top of an equally thrashed BagEnd 15 a while back
