Wal Bass Club.

Great to see Wal featuring in the 100 Basses To Play Before You Die list from Scott's Bass Lessons. Just a shame that both the photo and text are so very woefully inaccurate!!!

Hey all you Walnuts.........Pondering on doing something here. Has anyone ever seen Wal pups with solid pole pieces?
I have emailed Wal and after 3 weeks they finally replied and Phillip told me that it would probably be better if i sent my pups in to have them swapped. I have done a complete change of pole pieces for a friends Wal. But he said solid ones are very RARE and it might be "trickier" to remove. I dont really want to remove my pups and send them away. Also would like to keep these orig pole pieces. HELP!

Well my pups are HOME!...and back in the bass. Lets just say I'm more than satisfied i kept the originals in!
The A string sounds so much better. Going to tinker a bit with the heights of each pup at the E string. Then I'm ready for my first vid/cover with the BE and do a second vid of my signal chain!
The DAY before i go fishing for 11 days they came in. I dropped all my packing and immediately put them back in to test. Now that I'm home, going to be playing all day tomorrow lol

I'm not a member of the Mk3-lust crowd... really don't like it at all lol. I don't even care for the new-fangled headstock... I just like the classic 2+2. I guess I'll just sit in my shed alone with my Mk1 & Mk2 and be a curmudgeon. :-D
