i really want a second one but id have to sell too many basses that i want to keep to achieve that. So i recently filled the hole with something else. Not a wal but pretty cool and probably the brightest Gibson bass I’ve ever played.

It’s gorgeous but I’m trying to hold strong for an mk2 or MK3. I prefer the longer horn for both aesthetic reasons and for the way it balances on the strap. Also prefer the 24 frets. Besides that I’m not too picky, don’t really care what the finish is.
Here are some old videos from back in '93, with me playing my Wal in our rehearsal space we were using at the time. The bass is a fretless, though my playing here doesn't showcase any 'fretlessness'. My rig (located behind the guitar player) consists of an Alembic F2-B preamp, Crown DC300A II, and an EV B215-M cabinet. You can also see my Conn ST-11 Strobotuner on my amp. A little while after these videos were made, I ordered a fretted neck for my Wal which I swap out every now and then for a change of pace.

The finish looks really shiny. Much more shiny than other shedhua Wals I have seen. Does it have extra lacquer or something?
Also the usual lacquer cracks at the back of the headstock that lots of Wals have. I wonder why you see that often on Wals?....
It's got a gloss lacquer finish on the body, rather than the standard satin finish.
Temp variance between those massive tuners with their locating dimples, and the gloss poly acclimates faster than the big tuning machine does.
Ok thanks. You don't see gloss lacquer so much on Wals. Think I prefer satin finish.

In all sincerity though, you would have to add quite a bit of cash and shipping that rig probably wouldn’t be worth your while.

Here’s the neighbor in the “other corner” 900W of Class H Power! On occasion I’ll hook up a second Berg HD410 for two 900W amps!
I may also consider a 4 string Wal with a Poly finish too. Forgot to add that to my post.
