50 months? Last I heard it was 43. Luckily I'm down to just one month to go.

If one orders today at 43 months, it will be at least 50 before one gets one's bass. Fortunately we are all rich here in this little rich man's club, so we can get ourselves cryogenically frozen during the build period. When we wake up, it will seem like the bass was built in a day. Amazing!

Pete was a bit more willing to go out of the box and did a couple maple fingerboards.....if this maple was factory, it's be written in the cavity cover.

Those body facings look a lot like the tulipwood on Mick Karn's Wal, but I thought he had the only one with tulipwood.

Maybe after those 50 months in cryo, Costco will have their snack bar tables back on the floor. And I can resume my Little Rich Man's Club hotdog dinners so I can save up for another Wal order. Oh yeah, driving my 1978 Tercel to Costco to save even more money. The DB 11 only comes out on Saturdays and the DBS Superleggera only on Sundays.

I kinda of like maple necks on Wals but it still looks a bit weird to me because they are so rare. The maple necks on a Wal look better with a maple body I think. I wonder if it makes much sound difference. Maybe sounds more bright?

Is that mirror pick guard in the add original? Looks very odd to me....

Yup. Appears to be original English maple f'bd according to the plate cover. And it is Paduak.....not shedua or tulipwood.

The masking tape info in the cavity’s I’d heard are not always correct.
