Wal Bass Club.

This one was owned by someone here on talkbass, and then sold to a bass shop. Haven't seen it resurface since.
I can also remember two others on the old walbassesnaturally site.
Yes, very rare to find them this way, but I would prefer it. I never run any of my Wals on rear only pickup.

Yes, I think that is a one off or something. I am on the exact opposite. THE Wal sound is the rear pickup for me. Even om my Mk1 basses I use mostly the rear pickup, besides for slapping.

I like the simplicity of these Pro reissues with only a rear pickup. No knob fiddling and looking for your sound. Just plug and play. I had two fretless ones of these and still have one. I think they tripled the price on these models also now.

Pretty cool! The matching headstock is a nice touch.

As much as I dig my G&L fretless, its just not the sound, I keep toying with the idea of offering my 4 string Mk3 up for trade for a Mk2 5 fretless. :ninja:
Wal is seemingly perfectly suited for fretless. It seems like they are the most versatile fretless you'll ever have. Since hearing Percy Jones on his wal it's made me think about if I'm ever getting into a wal I'd probably go fretless. Either way you'd have a badass bass.

that price was insanely low ... 5 string and fretless not withstanding... It will likely be a flip..

Fortunately it isnt a flip.
The new buyer is on the Wal Lovers page and reported he's been needing a 5 string for some time now. Glad to see it went to player.

Also, the listing was UK sale only.

Yep.
Our sound tech just sent me an “off the board” recording he’d mixed up from my Sunday gig. The fretless Wal sounds freak’n amazing. It’s the only electric I’m using now, pretty much.
