Wal Bass Club.

got very tempted on this one -- if I didn't have my build almost done, i'd probably make a play for this one. pretty surprised that its been sitting already for 3 days and no buyers. i bought my fretless Mk2 from this guy back in 2014. if someone wants to buy this outside Reverb and deal privately to negate paying the added tax from reverb hit me up and i'll connect you. fyi - he's firm on his price.

Wal Mk2 4-string (w/ Mk3 neck joint!) OHSC | Reverb

What's up with that lotus on the headstock? The price might be one of the reasons it is not sold yet. 12,000$ plus shipping.....not something that many people can afford.

Beautiful bass, but yes, $12k is not something many people have just laying around. Especially right now, when expensive boutique gear for sale is sitting longer and longer.

Just got an email that my bass is being shipped early next week!
Congratulations love the Zebrano facings! Zebrano was top on my list, but was very particular with a certain kind of figure which Paul didn’t have at the time.
Guys…. Paul sent me the facings… all I can say is OH MY GAWD!!! Absolutely breathtaking and even better than I was expecting. I will post them soon :D
That’s a hard decision I like the Madrone the best.

Hey all hoping one of you can help with this. I have a couple of Active Wal pros. It seems like the battery is constantly on because I put a battery in and it’s dead. The next time I play the instrument.

I was talking to Matt Brewster at 30th Street Guitars today and he said this is because Wal used Mono jacks on the Pros instead of stereo jacks. He said it’s a really easy fix but this really surprised me.

Does anyone here with experience know whether this is indeed the case?

some of the varnish on part of the body on my shedua 80s body has worn off a bit ..it only really shows because the sheen has gone, does anyone have any advice about touching it up or is it best left alone? ..it's not a huge area, maybe an inch across.

My Pro 2E had exactly the same switching jack as my Mk 1. I wonder if someone switched it with the wrong jack some time.

Hi all, I just acquired a beautiful '84 mk1 and I'm setting it up.

The bridge saddles though are way too tall, so even when they're max lowered the action is quite high, especially on the A string. The neck is almost straight, with just a tiny bit of relief.

I found some pictures of a bridge in an old post on this thread and the saddles look definitely shorter than mine.

The easiest fix would be to replace the saddles (the bottom part) with shorter ones.

Do you guys have any suggestions?
