What 5 string bass has the best feeling/playing neck?

I have owned more than 100 basses so far, let alone how many other basses I've tried (and I mean those that were played by me for more than 5min). The best neck(s) so far comes from the hands of Sheldon Dingwall (who happens to make the most amazing basses in terms on playability, ergonomics and, MOST important, TONE). I've tried the first Dingwall in 1999 and 10yrs later, with more the 100 basses passing through my hands, I still insist over the former statement.
I'd suggest, try most every bass that you can lay your hands on. Once you find the best neck for you (for obvious reasons) then listen for the TONE. If the two coincide, then you have a winner combination

+1 on this one. When I picked up a Rapture at the local GC, everything else seemed like a bat. Have a Pedulla Pentabuzz en route from GRE107. Can't wait to see & play her!
I went to Bass Central and played a Pedulla Thunderbass 5 string. The neck was awesome! Nice and slim the bass played itself!
Both my 2007 Carvin LB75AP Anniversary and my 2009 Carvin Icon IC5 have very comfortable necks to play on.
My Pre-Gibson Tobias 5er.It feels the most comfortable in my hands.It just feels like "home" to me.Running a VERY,VERY close 2nd is my Carvin LB75KOA.I feel a very big part of the Carvin's "comfortableness" is the tung oil finish on the whole bass.A very,very underrated bass.My only regret is not ordering the wide-neck option.Damn!!!Oh well,live 'n' learn.

My Modulus Genesis 5ers are tops in my book. They play so nicely that you don't even notice the neck. To me, being completely comfortable and effortless makes them the best. I'm sure there are so many good ones out there. I've been fortunate enough to play and own many botique basses and general production ones. But these stand alone.
My fretless Warwick LX5, but I agree it will be different for different people, no such thing as a best for everybody.
How can anyone answer that for anyone but themselves? We all have different sized hands, different muscle and ligament insertions. It's almost like asking who makes the best feeling condom!

Since when do you feel anything with a condom on?
Everybody has different size and shape of hands, different playing technique, and different preferences.
I'd say the best one is my Jackson Concert V Pro, but nobody would believe me.
I have hands the size of of gorilla (Hmmm). Anyway, my fingers barely fit between the keys on my keyboard (my first instrument). My 5ers, Schecter, Ibenez, Fender et al are all fine but my 5er that fits me best is my Carvin Custom which I will play till I head into the happy hunting grounds!
i'd say lakland is the best 5er i've played no doubt, warwick is a different feel but also very good.

That is a wildly subjective question...
But I've found that for fretted basses, I prefer Zon 5's (hence me owning one)
For fretless, I prefer Pedulla Pentabuzz (I can't afford one!)
But I like A) thin necks and B) narrow spacing.
I've owned a Stingray 5 which played and sounded great but was too meaty for my tastes; I have NEVER liked Fender 5's - the always seem wrong, somehow.
Another problem with 5's is that some folks just make them in 35" scale - like Lakland - and I don't do 35". Too bad - I *love* my 4-94 and would love to have it in a 5 string version...

Another vote for Pedulla Rapture--my favorite 5 string neck in 24 years of playing.

Carvin IC5 fretless for me... although I think in terms of most mentioned here Lakland may take it
I have to say - I am totally amazed at how civil this thread has been, compared to previous threads on the same topic.
