I'm surprised no one said anything about this earlier. Didn't realize there was something wrong with using a pick these days.A guy playing 3 notes on a bass using a pick calls himself one and can go on tour.

I think what he's getting at is that a lot of pedal manufacturers know nothing about actually playing an instrument.
I think he's right, and I would go further to say they're in it for the easy money.
Selling pedals to players is like picking low hanging fruit IMHO & the profits are really great compared to the cost of raw material & actual work required to make a pedal.
Why does everyone NEED to be offended ALL the time in the 21st Century?

Sounds like classic politics to me.Another example of opinion/a$$hole rule. Everybody has one and they all stink from time to time.
Kirk isn't "my boy". Actually, I didn't even mention his name, nor do I consider myself a huge fan. You don't seem to have the ability to read the lines I wrote as they are, let alone between them. I am finding it very hard to comprehend how you and others are so bothered by this whole thing. Again, may I suggest tampax? They're basically the Gibson of feminine hygiene but hey, they got that big for a reason. Most musicians have never heard of much beyond fender and gibson either. Doesn't mean there isn't a huge market for the stuff that isn't Fender and Gibson, or that it doesn't exist. But hey, if you are so offended that I found your boy Kirk's statement to be completely without merit, I guess you can just ignore it.

They're in isle 12 sirWhy are you so offended? Why do you care so much that people disagree with your apathy? Go find a safe space. See, I can play this game too.
I just can't imagine Kirk Hammet slouched over some work bench burning his fingers on a soldering iron, spending his off hours pouring over circuit diagrams and sourcing opamps, sending PayPal invoices, replying to emails from customers, or stacking product on shelves in his garage.
Yep, that was my weekend, lol. And to top it off, I walked through some heavy snow to get some packages mailed out this morning. I bet KH won't be doing that!
There are already volume pedalsI am an awesome guitar AND bass player (and very modest about it too), I bet I would be awesome at making pedals too!
Not that I know anything about electronics, but I am sure a pedal that would make you sound like Jason Newsted on ..and justice for all would be a big hit!
I blame video games and devilsex musicWhy does everyone NEED to be offended ALL the time in the 21st Century?
