What Are Your Other Creative Interests?

I play guitar and mandolin as well as bass (but bass comes first :bassist:), and I'm hoping to get into keyboards soon. I also write songs and poetry.

Another hobby I'm getting into is Polaroid photography. You can find the cameras in antique stores for super cheap, but only one company makes film now and unfortunately the cartridges are priced like bass strings. Lots of fun though!

Ditto Bassmanbob. I've used that line myself. Couldn't agree more.
Little story for all you fellow bass play'n cooks; I was making cinnamon rolls one day and mistook the "cardamom" box for the "cinnamon" box. Thought they smelled funny in the oven but didn't fully appreciate my mistake until I bit into one. YUCK!
I do enjoy cooking, mostly baking. I have dabbled in oil painting which I may re-visit in retirement. Also a lousy golfer.
But my most creative endeavor is in preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. The same yesterday, today, and forever but the message is always new.
Great thread.

I am also into cooking, like a lot of you. As far as other creative things, up until last year I spent a lot of time customizing motorcycles (and riding a few). I also have a special attachment to my rose bushes.

I also spend time doing auto and motorcycle detailing, that's something I really enjoy.

I used to make knives, hopefully I can get back into it after I graduate.

this one is my baby.

That's awesome, how did you get into making knives?

I always loved knives and working with my hands so it kinda just happened. My first knife I made out of an old file using a 1x42'' belt grinder. Heat treated with a small forge.

After that I fell in love with it and invested in a bunch of raw materials, studied metallurgy built a bunch of fixed blades, got a drill press and started making folders. My first folder had an assisted opening mechanism. I built a 2x72'' belt grinder and was ready to get serious but college makes hobbies kinda hard.
