Wife asked me to start putting together my Christmas list and I'm thinking about adding a new bass. Nothing crazy expensive, less than $2000 certainly. But based on what I already have below, what would YOU recommend I add to my collection? New/current production only please. I couldn't imagine her looking for an old/vintage instrument lol
Custom T Shepard Passive PJ
EBMM Stingray Speical 4HH
Squire CV 60s Jazz
Sterling by MM Short Scale Stingray
Exactly what I was thinkingSomething fretless.
Our little secret Ty. More of them for us. Tone can go from classic angry piano to thumping P bass. Or he could find a '15. No need for anything else with an understanding of the tapped pickups and tone knob settings.I just want to add "no one mention Thunderbird" then I see this. I mean, you could go Epi 60s Thunderbird and Epi Jack Casidy. With that his collection completed.
a Kala U Bass

Can I be honest and say that 5 strings scare me? lol
Then how about 6?Can I be honest and say that 5 strings scare me? lol
I really love the look, shame they're not produced anymoreOur little secret Ty. More of them for us. Tone can go from classic angry piano to thumping P bass. Or he could find a '15. No need for anything else with an understanding of the tapped pickups and tone knob settings.
