I was planning on making it six evenings haha.

I had the Lambic Peche last night. A complete surprise. I was expecting a belgian ale. Instead it is very sweet and fuity. No bitterness at all. Almost reminded me of champagne in flavor even though it looks every bit like a darker ale.

ABV in those things is somewhate like 4%. They do taste great though have about a half to a third as much ABV as most Belgian Ales.

I mentioned this breifly in another thread, but if any of you get a chance try some of the beers canned by the Maui Brewing Co. They can 4 different beers, the best being the Coconut Porter. Theres also Big Swell IPA, Mana Wheat, and Bikini Blonde Lager.

If youre ever on the island of Maui I highly recommend going to the brewpub, in which you'll find about another 10 or so craft brews they make. Invalid Link Removed

Last Saturday was a great beer day here at the Lneal abode. I celebrated 50 years of mediocrity with 15 good friends, smoked Boston butts and some great brews. There was Ayinger Celebrator, Ten Fidy, Thomas Hooker Imperial Porter, Hooker Doppelbock and Southern Pecan. My father in law gave me some cool old beer glasses from Germany that he collected during his travels, including an old Franziskaner wheat beer glass. My wife gave me a book entitled "Tasting Beer". The cool part was that I got one of my friends, who is very open minded, to try a Ten Fidy. He had never had a beer with that much flavor before and he absolutely loved it! Watching that Ten Fidy being poured into the glass was a thing of beauty. :cool:

I've got some homebrews that are keeping me busy. A thick, chewy, sweet porter, an 80 IBU pale ale, and a light crisp hefe (ideal for the summer heat). I'm bottling a brown ale/esb/porter-ish thing this weekend (doesn't really fit into any category in Beersmith), as well as brewing up a mild amber and another batch of the pale ale.

I am drinking CHUPACABRAS BEER :)... Mexican beer that I found yesterday, it is from a small town in Mexico where my wife is from, I have been several times there but did not know this beer beer exist, good beer.
