What beer are you drinking (or rating) II: second bottle

My 50th birthday is coming up and I've been collecting some good stuff for the party I'm having. Got some Tenfidy, Ayinger Celebrator and I may get a La Fin Du Monde for the shindig. It's been awfully hot down here and I've been enjoying the Southern Pecan from Lazy Magnolia brewery. It's an easy drinker, if not a bit mild, but still has some good flavors. Makes a great summer brew.

For the 4th I'm doing a beer butt chicken and I'll probably just stick a Budweiser up its hind end. Some will argue, but I've found that it really doesn't seem to make much difference what you use for beer butt chicken, and I can't think of a better place for a Budweiser than up a chicken's butt, can you? :D

Southern Pecan is one of my favorites. Great taste and body, and it's my go to drink whenever I'm at a real bar.

Unfortunately, I'm giving up drinking for the rest of the summer to get back in shape. My upper torso and legs are still ripped as hell, but my mid section... well let's just say it's called a beer belly for a reason ;)

I'll have to look for that. I like Saisons, so Bière de Garde should be a nice slight change of pace.

Speaking of farmhouse ales, Boulevard Brewing Co (from KC) has a wonderful farmhouse style ale. IMO, one of the best US attempts I've ever had and can hold its' own among the authentic farmhouse ales.

Magic Hat #9 tastes 'buttery' on draft. I didn't care for it at all tonight and I usually love that beer.

Here's a few I've had recently that have left a good impression:
1. Lazy Magnolia Southern Pecan
2. Palm Special
3. Magic Hat Wacko
